WARNING .... things are about to get much much worse across the globle. The new straines are already rife and baked in.
    Govermenets woldwide will struggle.
Really upsetting stuff from Brazil in fact most of South America, Portugal, Ireland. Middle East ...

Honestly given our population density we are actully doing ok when other factors are taken in.
Most countries data is wildly out. I have a friend who knows about this stuff and he told me they expected worldwide over 7 Million will die in two years! Accounting for the massive errors in reporting we are probably half way there now, so I guess he may be correct.

I agree, there is a long way to go with this ChinaVirus ****; the idea that we will back to the old normal in the Summer, or the Autumn even, is somewhat fanciful. When next Winter arrives there may even be a new variant bug that plunges us back into trouble.

It makes me even more annoyed when I look at something that I’ve just bought and it has ‘made in China’ stamped on it.

You seriously are joking right? Priti the other day said we should have locked down 3 weeks before we should have last March. Boris missed how many Cobra meetings?

You may think I am following the headlines, i’m not. Covid is hampering the lives of many, 10 odd months into this and we have not got a handle on it.

When Mat Hancock said the other day that there are currently 73 known cases with the new variant and that they are being ‘closely observed’. What does this exactly mean? Just 73 people self isolating or 73 locked in a gov quarantined unit?

I think we both will know what these 73 people are doing, will we?

I doubt that you are actually in business yourself Boingy, so for a laymen to come on here to tell us it will be okay, is a bit rich. Unless you know what goes on, you should probably refrain from making these positive statements. Just read above how 2 posters plus me on here are talking about how much of an impact this is having.

I by now means here to pick you out on this Boingy on these matters, but you really need to understand the scale of problems every day people are having.
"10 odd months into this and we have not got a handle on it". Who has? Tell me.
"I doubt that you are actually in business yourself Boingy", How do you think that? because I don't agree with you?
Do you make positive statements? Is that ok? But I shouldn't?
Who's denying there's an impact? I expected one. You cant leave something after 40 years and expect a smooth transition.
"you really need to understand the scale of problems every day people are having" Is very condescending.

Good post Regis and you are right! Wait a month - be patient - ha ha! When our VAT is due and we are being crippled as a business should HMRC be told - wait a month - be patient? Company Directors have been given zero in terms of help or furlough money but hey - living on fresh air perhaps is not the fault of Boris! This is why so many greedy c unts have received government help in terms of furlough money and they don't need it due to their wealth and many that do need it have been offered sweet FA!

In terms of the vaccine - take the pressure and cost off the NHS and sell it privately - many would pay £200 for it which would keep more money in the NHS coffers! For those in a certain wealth bracket - some would say they should pay for it anyway rather than getting it for free!

What has Boris done for students - f uck all! It's not about opinions on university. It's about young kids who have tried to better themselves and try to have an advantage of following their career path. No refunds on university fees which are on-line and NO refunds on halls accommodation or land lord accommodation which they are not living in!
Disgraceful!!! No wonder a lot of these kids are heavily in debt, have mental health issues or there's an increase on suicides.

Is it only me but nearly everything I buy these days comes from China and is crap!. Years ago if anything was stamped with “Made in Honk Kong” it was judged as junk. Same now with China, not all products of course they can make excellent kit especially for their own internal markets but flood the world with cheap stuff for the rest of us.
Brazil has the capability to make millions of Vaccines for themselves under license. BUT the Chinese supply a critical component in the process. Guess what… The Chinese have slowed shipment, some say retaliating for the attitude the Brazilian president showed towards China in recent years, both he and Trump.

There is a possibility, it seems, that the UK will be in a better position regarding ChinaVirus vaccine than the EU. Maybe that will be the only benefit of Brexit, we will have to wait and see. For me, though, the big question is whether we would be in this situation if the Chinese had released information on the outbreak as soon as the alarm was raised by their own doctors; they delayed for weeks. It does make you wonder whether there really is a Chinese plan to cripple the economies of the West in order to further their aim of global domination. This idea has now been given more credence now that the source of ChinaVirus has been almost certainly been identified as the state run laboratory in Wuhan and not the wildlife market. China is controlled by their Communist Party and no businessman can prosper there unless approved by the State; that of course, includes a certain Mr Lai. I want no aspect of that ******* country to have anything to do with WBA, so do one, Lai, just **** off ASAP.

One things for sure is, our MSM are not doing enough to highlight these issues and problems faced by us all and the livelihoods it’s impacting.

Why can’t prime ministers Questions Time be done face to face than this pathetic virtual one. I’ve said before, give all our politicians the vaccines so that can really get back to work and be scrutinised properly by the opposition parties. They all do a bad job defending their actions despite notes and answers on their screens in front of them, let see how they manage in reality.

Something needs to be done to overhaul this incompetent bunch of amateurs.

I await 9goals ‘nationalist positivity’ to tell us we are doing fine.
Attacked by Regis for being positive about our nation. I now know how Healey felt after Howe criticised him and said 'It was like being savaged by a dead sheep'

I'm very content being positive it's something I'm very good at. Try it sometime you may find it fun.

PS really like you very radical idea that will make all the difference to all our ills. Change the format of Question Time. Sure fire winner that one.

    Chin up Regis,

The one thing that I have noticed about the questions after the briefings is that the questions from the public are more productive and inquisitive than all the left wing media questions put together! In fact, the left wing media are so pathetic that I switch off after the first two public questions and gain more knowledge by watching The Chase!

    Chin up Regis,

If you had a U.K. business with a lot of EU customers you would neither be positive or have your chin up. The reality is U.K. businesses are now being financially crippled! We are making almost zero profit now trying to absorb duties and taxes. The alternative is not to absorb them and most EU customers will shop elsewhere.

Had I no business or no EU customers then perhaps I would not care so much but not just our business but many will now go to the wall! Those that go to the wall will most likely take many thousands if not millions of pounds worth of debts with them - directly or indirectly everyone will pay for this when it happens so everyone should care!

Boris wants to commemorate the 100,000 who died - maybe he should reflect on his slow actions - Madrid supporters flocking in - horse racing - generally poor and slow responses. Let’s face it - it’s not a proper lock down now compared to some other countries where everything is closed and borders are more sealed!

PS - you are told not to leave the country but one of our Chinese friends can still enter - in their plane load! Joke
