    Herman’s Hermits - Peter Noone.

I loved this band as a nipper in the 60’s. https://youtu.be/iuojinVBizc

I found this recent interview with Peter Noone and thought it was a really good listen and it includes a lot of his great tracks.

Seems like a top bloke as well.

He’s only 73 Phil, he was 17-18 when he started having those massive hits.

I hadn’t realised just how many hits he’d had.

“No Milk Today” was one I loved as a small child.

I thought he was older because I also remember the groups songs when I was a wee lad. Some classics like No Milk today and Im into something good. I also found they recorded A kind of Hush which I thought was a Carpenters original.

Great great band. One of my favourite songs was I’m into something good - always remember my manager always getting up to sing this on a guitar in one of Benidorm's in pubs when we all worked there along with another hit called Soldier Boy! Those were the days all working for Thomson Holidays in the 80’s!

They were massive in the States. Keith Moon's biography tells of Peter Noone being involved in some of Moon's hotel wrecking antics. Noone was not the very innocent boy that he looked.

I don’t think anyone could get away with pleading innocence after hanging with Keith Moon!

We were in a chalet at Westward Ho in 1969, and the club on the site had a Juke box in and when you put a record on a girl would do a striptease on a linked video screen, quite hi tec for the time. Something is happening will always be the one I remember.🙂

Could be a new business idea there for Mick!
