herd immunity would have killed 500,000 within a year, tory austerity about half that in 10 years.

hilarious you are now defending the tories who you've been raging at for the past year for ruining your golf swing

I am just trying to broaden your knowledge by quoting facts that happened in other parts of Scotland over 15 years ago.
A similar thing happened to me.
I returned home to Islay with a throat infection after visiting my father in Dundee and attending a Dundee home game at Dens.
I suggested to my GP that I might have got my throat infection at Dens Park as a result of shouting and cheering when we scored a goal.
He suggested that in future I should not shout so much at the football.
Later the problem was solved. Neil McCann was appointed manager of Dundee FC and his style of play was so boring that there was nothing to shout about and I was no longer hoarse at the end of the game.

Islay, this is a deliberate attempt at humour! Well done.

Good to know you've been getting your money's worth from the NHS. I once had a terrible cough in wintertime which I couldn't shake. When I stopped drinking treble vodkas and inhaling secondary smoke in the pub every night, it cleared up within a few days. I hope you feel enriched by my story as much as I do yours. Since smoking was banned in pubs and I cut back to just double vodkas, I haven't had a recurrence.

You would be far better drinking OVD as vodka is made from tatties.
