Daryl Dike Becomes A Tyke

I am aware Orlando/Dike are using Barnsley as a shop window for bigger clubs to look at Dike
Dane is happy for that to happen.
We may, or may not, get a few good games out of him.
It's no more than that. A global superstar is not going to sign for Barnsley for £1 million plus if it proves this is a player who is "off the scale" in world terms.

He's as raw as a 14 year old kid entering an Amsterdam coffee shop and ordering a latte SB .

I'm not expecting anything much on the field to be honest , 20 years old , 18 games behind him moving to the UK and to a league that's as unforgiving on young players as they come , we've seen enough ourselves to know that .

What he does in training as I've said before will determine where this goes in my opinion .

Got built up far too much this kid , not by him or the club but by fans on social media .

The novelty of this kid seems to have created a temporary memory lapse given nearly all 20 years olds recruited from abroad have struggled initially in the championship at this club .

He may find it easier with a more settled team as we seem to have this season rather than a situation we had at the start of last when everybody was struggling I will concede .

Standing out in the MLS against second rate European and Mexican defenders is one thing but doing it from the off in the English Championship is quite another .

Agree with all that. Fans definitely gerrin too carried away considering where he's come from and his inexperience. It's a lot o pressure for young lad.

A will seh one thing abart Dike though, izzan unknown quantity tut opposition which should be to his advantage, he might catch a couple o teeums wi the keks darn early dooers.
