Mitrovic didn’t exactly cover himself in glory either. I’d like to see the ban given to him for going down like that.

It’s disgusting that this has happened but it’s of no surprise when the football authorities bury their heads instead of dealing with the problems.
Both Mike and VAR decided that Tomas Soucek should be sent of for a no contact foul
It’s ok to rescind but the damage in most cases has already been done to which could be v i t a l
Maybe now they might wake up especially to var who just amaze me how they see things that are not there

Agreed
And just like Mo Salah in last night's game. Minimal contact but went down like a sniper shot him. Passed over due to the goalie errors but in a tighter match would have been highlighted more.
As for Dean, well he turns matches into the Mike Dean show and VAR gives him more chances to "shine"
No excuse though for the moron(s) giving the death threats, assuming that's true report.
Ive said it many times, the constant wall to wall abuse of officials on phone-ins and through social media legitimises this kind of stuff.
We have VAR as a direct result of continued complaints about referees over very many years. Its a self fufilling prophecy. If fans and clubs accept refs get it wrong sometimes we would not have VAR.
The VAR argument is going round and round in circles
There are too many reviews, too many examples of nit picking. The desire to put obvious errors right seems secondary.
Maybe some need to be answering questions has to how they saw something that wasn’t there, both var on the day and Dean got it seriously wrong and it’s not the first time.

Yes they got it wrong, but they got it wrong after a long spell of checking and thinking about it. Not a spur of the moment, in the heat if the action type getting it wrong.
