    A serious question.

Not here to gloat, but has this season in the Premier League, proved so far, to be much harder than you expected? After the good season you had in the Championship last year, were you expecting to struggle or was a mid table season expected?

Has the standard in the top flight improved since you were last here?

Do you think that appointing Big Sam was a mistake and would you have been better sticking with the Manager you had?

Your players were certainly up for it when you played at Molineux.

Hi, I thought we would be comfortable mid table.
Players last year who I thought would be comfortable haven't made the step up. I think the standard has gone down. Which says a lot for us.
No pre season hasn't helped and lack of money. Having to pay £10m to last seasons prem teams didn't seem fair.
I've hated not being there, after 59 successive seasons watching them.
I'll be back next season what ever division.
Let's hope we get a new owner who invests.

I expected mid table, probably as much as you expected Wolves to have a decent season. I seriously don't think anyone can say that this has been a normal season for anyone. Southampton have shipped 9 goals? twice? Liverpool let 7 in? We only lose by 5 despite having the worst defence in the league? Nothing makes sense this season, even Sheffield being as solid as a rock last season and now struggling along with us. Covid and no fans has been like a Hex on everyone. Some have suffered more than others.

No investment Abbo, you get what you pay for.
Peirera and Diangana were two good signings, but we needed a minimum of five premiership class player's who could hit the ground running.
Most of us knew that our squad wasn't/isn't good enough for this level.
Too many square pegs in round holes as well.
As for Sam he was brought in for the bounce factor but I think his bouncing days are long behind him.

Am I the only one who expected instant relegation? I knew this year would be embarrassing, due to our lack of ambition. With what is going on at the top, and no board to speak of, the good players know they are here short term. I think they did their best, last season, to keep themselves in a division they could play in. I see no other reason for that collective loss of form.
I predicted 16 points this season. Hope to be proved wrong, but let's see.

I expected us to struggle but not quite as badly as we have. If we look closely at the situation, we basically went up by default. Our form in the Championship, when football returned, was actually quite poor and we wouldn't have got automatic promotion had Brentford held their nerve. The players that we bought, we already had on loan, so there was little difference to the side that struggled at times in the Championship. Therefore, you wouldn't expect a side to 'pull up any trees' in the Premiership. As I said, I didn't expect us to be as poor as we have but I did expect a struggle.

I thought we were relegated before we even kicked a ball Abbo.

Terrible owners, a p I s s poor head of recruitment and a manager with no plan B.

If you were thinking of creating the perfect template to get butt f u c k e d most weeks then we’ve got the patent on it.

Allardyce is not the problem, he’s never failed anywhere in the past.

We are a graveyard for managers with previously strong records and for virtually any striker that walks through our doors.

We seem to ruin the careers of both of these types.

We are a walking abortion of a club.

The thing that saddens me is that the first half of last season we were a great team, and topped the championship for more weeks than Leeds. I honestly thought we would get back that mojo but because of the step up the board should have added to the squad and not just finalised existing loans. We have basically imploded. I cant blame Bilic at all because he got us playing the way most of us fans want. The owners killed this club with a fatal blow even before the season started by not giving Bilic a pot full of money.

See 1955's ( Des's post ) Abbo which is spot on. Anybody who thought we would finish mid table must be on crack cocaine.

We struggled like hell after lockdown and our form was not even top 6 - very few matches won and the football was dire. Brentford blew it twice and we were promoted. Not so much the quality in the Premier has improved but in reality - this is the poorest West Brom team for years! As Des says, no investment and you get what you pay for!!!

We blew 32 million on Diangana and Grant who are Championship players - certainly not proved nothing in the Premier!

The quality ( or lack of it ) in our squad is shocking - Gibbs, Phillips, Sawyers, Kanu, Ivanovic, Livermore, Zohore - all average Championship players and to be honest - I would not even want one of them next year!

The only two players we have Pereira and Johnstone will attract any potential buyers.

Not so much West Brom were up for it at Wolves - another Wolves supporter from work did say it was the poorest Wolves had played for years - he was not being funny either!

Fat Sam is only in it because of the money for sure, and he still does not know his best 11 even now. To constantly play our two worst players ( Livermore and Sawyers ) then bench our best players in games ( Gallagher + Pereira ) were as stupid as changing tactics against Fulham after 20 minutes.

If you invest £10 in a pair of shoes they will fall to pieces. One can use this same scenario regarding West Brom where its rotten to the core - from top ( owner ) to the board to the management.

We will enter the Championship in far worse a situation than when we scraped promotion - that for sure!

I just like to be honest with my posts and not away with the fairies

In summary - the club is an absolute embarrassment!

I think you have hit the nail on the head with your comment about no crowds. You have only to look at the number of away wins that teams are recording. It just goes to show what an effect that a home crowd has on a team.

I thought we might struggle this year after the marathon season we were subjected to, with Covid and the Europa league. Our pre season this year was virtually non existent. I forecast we would finish twelfth, but that was before all the injuries occurred. Having gone virtually three years without almost any injuries, our small squad has been caught out. Many young players being asked to step up before they are really ready.
