Clark is our 4th choice striker, possibly 5th when Chalmers comes back. Our best partnerships are Shankland with either Appere or McNulty as these two offer more during the 90 minutes IMO. I honestly don't see where he plays unless Shankland gets injured or we need a goal late in a game and he comes off the bench.

A decent player for us in the Championship and has scored some good goals for us this season but is an out and out number 9 but we already have a very good one that he'll never dislodge.

    Couldn't disagree more.
McNulty has yet to offer anything meaningful.
Appere works hard but lacks quality as yet. Chalmers unproven although has definite ability.

Clark is far above those options at present.

Now we’ve got a bit of a cushion in the League, we have to start looking forward to next season. McNulty, as well as being average at best, will not be here next season. Consequently he really should not be starting too much, barring injuries. Shanks is obviously number one, but it’s time to be giving Appere more of a chance and if so, Clark.

McNulty has not been very good. He kept falling over yesterday. He just doesn’t seem happy at united to me. Disappointing though I can see what we were trying in signing him.

Shanks is probably better with Appere or Clark

My concern is that if Pawlett is suspended we put Clark in midfield again

Don’t think rangers would be game to try chalmers if he is back - maybe more Killie away for that I’d think given what he can do and that’s he not so good defensively

You could make a very good case against McNulty but I think Appere proved yesterday he's the best one to partner Shanks at the moment. I thought his hold up play was excellent.

Shankland and Appere worked well together yesterday. Great shift from both. Shanks MOTM for me, good to see him play so well.

Nicky Clark ahead of McNulty for me. Important player for us. Both good options though to bring on as subbies later.

Excellent win yesterday. Important 3 points. Well done to all the lads and the manager.

Chalmers is not a striker he is a winger. Then a 10. Then MAYBE a striker but if its a choice between him or Clark through the middle Clark wins every day of the week.

Gary McSwegen is a good example of someone who wasnt always first choice for us but still made an impact when required. If Clark plays in his proper position for us he scores goals. Just because he had a few sh1te games in centre midfield doesnt take away the fact he is a good player for us. This "Championship player" nonsense is just an phrase our fans seems to be using this season for some reason and its a load of p1sh if you ask me. Half the Livvy team that went on that unbeaten run were championship/league 1 players only a few years ago.

The guy has earned the right to be in our SQUAD and a squad is very important in a season where you will play 40-45 matches. Whether you see him as 1st or 5th choice, he is at the club because he has proved his worth so why the f uck do people still keep going on about him?

It's my opinion, sorry if it differs from yours but I'll go on about him if I want or are you just another Shedka who thinks his opinions are always the only ones?

I'm not judging him on playing him in midfield but I'm of the OPINION that he lacks a lot of attributes as a striker at this level ie pace, the ability to beat a man, height for winning headers, strength for holding off defenders etc etc . He got away with it in the championship where the standard of defender was obviously lower but hes struggled in a lot of games to give us 90 minutes of consistency when given a game up front.

Pace and strength are king in this league for forwards and unfortunately this is where Clark lacks.

Since your brought me into it randomly

Thinking Chalmers is a striker? Lol

If he was we'd have won away at Accies first time round and at home to Aberdeen, he had two easy easy chances in both and completely short circuited and fluffed them both times

Looks a decent player though but a striker he is not and Clark is miles ahead of him in that position, as for a number 10 Clark done ok their but will depend on the system we play and other personnel

OK maybe not an out and out striker just now but at 20 yrs old he could end up there but definitely a forward and definitely a player who can play better than Clark in the position Clark had been occupying until he was benched.
