When you see that about 1 in 4 people have had vaccination in UK compared to something like 1 in 20 in EU must give Boris some praise.

The Labour Party choice of leader at last election was probably reason for Westminster majority.

I agree, there have been loads of mistakes made but the one silver lining has been the vaccine, your final sentence is spot on and the Liberals choice of leader and brexit strategy gave Boris another open goal too.

Did I hear correctly that the Scottish level 4 lock-down will be kept going until March? Seriously, WTF? Cases in Dundee, a pretty big city, are fewer than 50/100k.

Yep, you heard correctly TTT. And further I would expect it to go beyond that. Don’t be surprised if this runs through to Easter.

Dont know why your having a mini rant as ending this lockdown was never gonna be part of any announcement today. I think they are finalizing a plan to help us emerge from lockdown, but its gonna be a long road, it aint gonna allow widespread travel in April, and i think foreign travel is still off the table for the summer.

The hard fact is, this damn virus has mutated into similar Kent, SA, Brazilian and even a Bristol variant that have either proved, or are suspected to be more transmissible than what we were subjected to previously. Allowing those to spread and further mutate, may in turn mean that the current fantastic effort with the vaccine roll out was all for nothing.

Agree, Keith Starmer has a wee bit more believability about him than thon last labour nugget, and don’t think BoJo or any of his cronies would get a majority next time

Yet yesterday Dominic Raab said it'll take ten years before we see the benefit of brexsh!t. Didn't mention that on a big red bus.

Anybody with more than a couple of brain cells knew it would take time to settle after brexit but I find it hard to believe it’ll take a decade but one thing the red bus was right about is we’ll save £10B per year bar what we need to stump up for which looks like £33B over next decade but still a huge saving 🤣

34.1 cases per 100,000 to be exact. That was Tier 2 verging on Tier 1 a few months ago.
