Thread: A whole year without football

    A whole year without football

It's been a whole year since I went to a game, that being the away day at Fulham and the brilliant 3-0 win by the Thames.
I've written a piece on that day and what I miss most about not being able to get to games. Hope you don't mind me posting this?

Thanks. Really cannot wait to get down to Oakwell again. Fingers crossed it won't be long now.

    Great post Manc-tyke

Those experiences will shape thi young lad, a know it did me when my favver took mi. Great memories.

Lockdarn ez med me think how we tend to take life for granted. Your excellent post meks mi realise what we all miss. I genuinely think that when normality returns there'll be a surge in crowds at Oakwell. Thanks very much for sharing your thoughts

    Me too.
Not just got used to it - thoroughly enjoyed it.
I’ve never watched Barnsley as much as I have this season.
    I haven’t missed a match - home or away.
And importantly - where would I be in this lockdown if I didn’t have the next Barnsley match to look forward to !?!?!
Barnsley Football Club has been a huge help for me during lockdown.
So a BIG THANK YOU from me.

Thanks for all the comments. Appreciate it. I've heard a few people say they prefer it at the moment as they get to see reds play every week on ifollow. That's true but I miss the experiences in the flesh. My lad has been fortunate to meet a few of the players over last few seasons which you don't get when stuck at home.

    Well written Manc, keep posting.

So youve not been drawn towards one of the two wonderful Manchester clubs then?
