I have no idea to be honest - the original post said "level 4 lock-down will be kept going until March". It didn't specify beginning, middle or end. I just pointed out that March is nearly here so that might not be that long.

Mention in the update yesterday that current restrictions will continue through to the end of March for now, and if there is indicators that we are beating this virus, that will change. SG are finalizing a road map out of this lockdown, but with the dominant Kent strain being as transmissible as it is, i dont think we will be seeing anything like what happened last May/June anytime soon.

A note of caution! Through lockdown 1, and when the transmission looked to be accelerating into this Lockdown, i have kept an obsessive eye on the cases/7 days. From the peak of 2320 in the first full week in the year, this fell to 1041 by 1st Feb, but 2 weeks later, this measure seems to be stubbornly hovering through the 800s with a low of 813 last week, only to climb to 850 for figures up to yesterday.

    Still work to be done!

Offshore, you will have to spend 10 days of your 2 weeks off, if you are still 2on/2 off, by sitting in a hotel room for now. It is to be looked at, and i have to say i see no reason why you have to do this if your are subjected to regular testing. Hope the room service does include draft beer though!
