On the back of new information that is now provided by the Scottish Government, a fuller picture is available with how the vaccine is reaching us, up until last Sunday the 14th.

Vaccine Allocated by HMG/NHS England, 1,618,320
Vaccine Delivered to NHS Scotland, 1,520,690
People vaccinated up to yesterday, 1,412,643 first dose, 33,473 second does, total 1,446,116.

That means after 5 days and over 160k vaccinations carried out, 74,574 doses or 2 days of what was in stock up here is still to be used, and 97,630 or 2-3 days’ supply has more than likely been delivered to us with further allocation to back that up. Looks to me we are keeping a 7-day stock up here with 2-3 days in reserve, and that makes perfect sense to me, but that becomes a bit precarious if any further issues appear when you consider 1,379,170 need a second dose.

The vaccination effort on the ground.

Cohort 4, People aged 70-74 - 95% (94), Clinically Extremely vulnerable - 86% (84).
Cohort 5, People aged 65-69 78% (74)
Cohort 6, 16-64 with underlying health is also progressing.
Cohort 7, 60-64 i believe is also progressing.
