    Forest won, Mansfield lost.
Until Saturday we had ‘bought’ 4 wins on the bounce.

Four points from a possible six against Stockport is a good return against a fellow contender, taken in abstract. What takes the shine off it is the unsatisfactory way we've dropped points against lesser teams, which is why we will probably have to settle for the play-offs when a club with our resources should be neck-and-neck with Torquay. However, as others have said, the season has a long way to go and it's still possible we will recover some of those lost points and that the likes of Torquay and Sutton will fade. All that matters is your position at the end of the season, whether that's on PPG or a fully completed programme of matches.

Not unhappy with that point and Cal back on the pitch.

    Long way to go.

A slightly fortuitous point I thought. The commentators on the stream are biased of course, but I think they might have been right about the disallowed goal. We aren’t creating enough chances at the moment.

But two pluses from tonight - one was the performance of Wolfe , the other being that it’s a valuable away point against fellow promotion possibles.

Very good defensive display with Rawlinson being immense yet again. Thought Wolfe played really well with some nice touches, O'Brien looked energetic and back to his former self, Pilling more assured and a great shot stopper. The rest so-so, neither bad nor great. Great to see Cal back . Rest a few at the weekend but start with Cal give him at least 45 mins.

We have a great defence that cannot be in dispute now but we just cant score enough goals 26 in 21 league games is nowhere near good enough and it is becoming a major concern to me. Its almost becoming necessary to keep a clean sheet to win a game at a rate of just over one goal a game

I quite liked them till they basically called Rawlinson a cheat and then one screamed for 2 penalties and not a single player appealed from them.
I’m viewing Sats cup game as a positive to get some minutes into other players, Wolfe was totally done after 70 mins and we need these players as much match ready as poss.

Torquay will probably stutter from here on in and end up in the play offs, but I wouldn't bank on Sutton fading, they've been very consistent since the middle of last season. If 2019/20 had begun in mid-November they'd have finished 3rd. They've only lost 6 league games this decade so far.
