Up to December 2020? The schools were back for quite a time in that spell. During the summer teachers and support staff wouldn't be working so to get data for anything teaching related would be impossible normally anyway. Also, during the first lock-down almost all business were closed or incredibly quiet. I think it IS comparable and it's the only data available.

I believe a 28 year old classroom assistant in Northern Ireland passed away after a positive Covid test recently!

With the dominant Kent strain, younger people are getting severe symptoms, ending up in hospital and passing away.
Fair enough. You do seem to be siding heavily with teachers over most other professions however. I certainly don't think a 28 year old teacher should be vaccinated before a 48 year old factory worker. Public facing or not. We're talking about risk of death here and it has been proven Covid-19 kills more people the older you are.

Like i have said, in Lockdown 1 and from March to August, their risk was minimal because of their working environment. Once back at work full time from mid August, their risk for the first 2 month would have been low, and the next 2 rising with several school outbreaks until eventual lockdown. With daily cases in the last month comparable to the month running up to this lockdown, i have concerns that schools are going back too early, and vaccinations should be considered, along with ALL public facing workers and those in high density situations.

How can you say that "During the summer teachers and support staff wouldn't be working so to get data for anything teaching related would be impossible normally anyway." but then "I think it IS comparable and it's the only data available." To me you have just questioned the reliability of the data for the same reason i have, then put you trust in it because its there?

Who the fu*k are these people? It must be work related at a very high level to let them travel through so many places.
Could be something as simple as an offshore worker?

Yes it does appear that way, but it will seem like that way when everyone else has their opinion on something i have a vested interest in. My real intention is that ALL public facing and high density work forces should be in the que together, maybe not right now with the main focus being Cohorts 6-9 to be completed, but as a way of reducing waste just now, and at the head of the next 3 Cohorts.

What I'm saying is that even in a normal year it'd be impossible to get data from the teaching profession during the summer anyway so I don't think there being no data for this time is a factor.

Bottom line is, you aren't answering the question (asked quite a few times) as to why you think a teacher in their 20s should get a vaccine ahead of someone in their 40s just because they are a teacher?

    no comment ha ha

think is though mate we're tested before mobilisation, during isolation, before we go offshore and when we get back onshore we need a test for flying to uk which takes around 4 days so we're getting plenty tests

There is data available from April-Jun showing death rates in which teachers are still some of the lowest at risk. I know April to June was Lockdown 1, but the data is suggesting that infections would have been contracted prior to this period when not only teachers, but everyone was at work, resulting in an Apr-Jun death.
