Well I’m genuinely surprised if you have worse experiences from bears than tims. I know there was some bad vibes between our clubs recently but even during the banter years, I’ve only experienced good banter and agreement between us about the filthy lot being bad losers. I hope you inflict a few defeats on them and then you can see how they react. It is worth noting that we have been on the receiving end of several defeats from yous in recent years and not been any trouble as far as I’m aware. Obviously every club had its drunken idiots and Manchester was indeed a very drunken affair. It was not very well organised in my opinion but quite a few people did let themselves down and didn’t represent very well that day. We don’t claim to be the best behaved fans in the world. I wish you peace and good luck during these uncertain times. I have a lot of respect for both Aberdeen and Dundee United.

I am under no Illusions about the other half of the cancer in scottish football they are not much better than you'r lot but think personally from my experiences in dundee and glasgow with both cheeks you'r lot just shade it as the vilest.Others will probably see it the other way round by their experiences but doubt you will meet many who thing either of the clubs or especially supporters are nice guys.Personally you do come across as a decent guy and I know and have met other supporters of both sides of the bigots who are decent people it's just when they get together under the banner of their bigoted clubs they become vile arseholes.

    If you know their History

1972 European Cup Winners' Cup Final

While it was argued that the pitch invaders may simply have been celebrating victory prematurely due to the misinterpretation of the final whistle (the referee had blown for a throw-in) the Dynamo Moscow team believed that the pitch invasion was a calculated action by the fans designed to stop the Soviet side's momentum. In the final minutes, Dynamo were pressing hard to equalise but the sudden pitch invasion gave the Rangers defenders respite. Colin Stein later reflected on the game and stated that he believed the pitch invasion made it harder for the Rangers side during the final minutes of the game. Dynamo players claimed that they were attacked during this invasion, while bottles were thrown at police, whose actions have been described as heavy-handed.

After the game's final whistle there was a larger pitch invasion by Rangers supporters and as a result of this the trophy was presented to Rangers captain John Greig inside the stadium buildings.

    If you know their History

I personally was at the Newcastle game in May 1969

    Intercity Fairs Cup semi-final

The Bears knocked down an exit gate to gan access. Others climbed over the walls.

Newcastle United 2 Glasgow Rangers 0

After the second goal the badly behaved Rangers supporters flooded the pitch up to the half way line in an attempt to stop the game.

After the match the trashed the city centre. I personally saw a Newcastle supporters bus being overturned with people still trying to get out.

Manchester was indeed a very drunken affair. Well organised or not and yes quite a few people did let themselves down and didn’t represent very well that day. They didn't represent themselves well in many town and cities in Scotland if their team lost. Birmingham against Aston Villa wasn't a good day either for the Bears. I am sure you recall that one too.

Best forget the Glasgow Rangers History and start afresh.

On Saturday, October 9 1976, Villa Park and Birmingham city centre suffered some of the worst scenes of football hooliganism ever witnessed on this patch.

It occurred during a so called ‘friendly’ match between Aston Villa and Rangers which had to be abandoned on 53 minutes when crowd trouble erupted.

Using the Sports Argus and Sunday Mercury reports from that weekend, Mat Kendrick looks back at what was dubbed “Sick Saturday”.

    Eye witness account

“I watched as a young fan was knocked to the ground and kicked unconscious by up to ten assailants on the Villa Park pitch.

It was the most sickening episode I saw in the midst of disgraceful scenes which caused the abandonment of the match between Aston Villa and Glasgow Rangers after 53 minutes.”

Has the Ann Budge thread been closed down?.Its the only reason i logged back in until i noticed the shyte posted by our new resident Hun.
Anyway i attempted to reply to a post on Ann's thread and it was in defence of Retired Arab who in my opinion is NOT a failed teacher. Some of the shyte he was subjected to would have led me and many others to follow the path he did.
I also cannie really understand why he has been banned from here either as the board was certainly busier with him posting. It was also shameful when posters turned up out of the blue demanding that people like Peter should be banned but in general they contributed F ALL to board apart from demanding his ban and heads to roll when United lost.

Hey GB congrats by the way. The hvn is ok and so is Peter. but agree if they keep popping on with same rhetoric then lets deal with them. As for M - def on wind up and it was funny - some of the comments on him were not called for. When his ban is up this is the question i would like him to answer -"What do you know about the current owners and why are you so worried" - get rid of the cryptic sh!t3 as i am 100% sure he knows more about things than i do so i want to hear.
