If you’ve not listened to it, listen to the here we go podcast on Spotify, or where ever you listen to podcasts. The latest one has an American sports journy (I’m not sure his exact job), talking about glass. And he speaks quite highly of him.
I’ve heard mention that Atlanta 2 haven’t done well under glass, but the way the 2nd string works over there isn’t purely on results. It’s more about preparing players for the first team. And on that, Glass has been doing well apparently.

    Give it a listen.

And no, I don’t work with the podcast guys. Just thought it was quite an insightful listen.

On giving it further consideration, Tommy Pearson played for us as well. Did Jimmy Philip?

Given that he was 40 in 1903 I doubt it. May have played for one of the three previous clubs. The answer may be in that Clyne book. He did referee at the 1912 Olympics if you’re looking for a bit trivia.

So if the rumours are to be believed (which I could in this case) we haven’t started to really target a manager. It looks more likely we will appoint a manager in the summer. Given the current state of the team it is probably a better idea financially as appointing the right manager in the summer will surely benefit season ticket sales. If we appointed a manager now the results may go against them and affect sales as such.
One thing is for certain, Cormack and the new manager better be far more positive than the previous chairman and manager. Let’s get the sleeves rolled up and put a right challenge into the league and cups.

    Aye, so he disnae count.
But further digging tells me Paddy Travers played for us, over two stints, Davie Shaw also played for us.
In hindsight I was perhaps too quick to nae say the original point.
Reflecting again, Jocky Scott also played for us so I was way off beam.

    Very good point that man.
The club has never properly recovered from the Tommy Pearson era.

You'd think the club would learn.

Clearly there’s a risk attached, but I’d be ok with Strachan as Director of Football, with Glass as head coach, particularly if they can give him good people around him. Bring in one more coach, from outside Scottish football, with the right attributes including good contacts, and I think it could be a good setup.

Impossible to say how it would work out, particularly given how little we know about Glass as a coach, but worth the risk I’d say if there is evidence he’s a good coach.

I’d rather take that risk than appoint one of the more obvious options from within Scottish football who could no doubt guarantee us a top 6 finish but who might struggle to really bring something fresh and new, which is what I think we need to bring people through the turnstiles and generate some excitement. And if it works give us a real shot at winning trophies.

The whole thing needs an overhaul and the problems at the club go well beyond McInnes.
If Glass is the replacement, he'll need an experienced team around him and a DoF - and an open chequebook!
Brown was only touted so he could get a better deal at Celtic. No way he would come to Aberdeen. Not that he would be any use as a coach.
