Its no coincidence that people on here feel the same way.
Why is it ‘no coincidence’? I’m sorry, I don’t see the connection.

Because everyone on here is influenced by the RW Press. Most people on here are Leave supporting Tories.

And they take the same position as these rags on all sorts of topics, scrapping the BBC being a prime example. The viewpoints on here of Harry & Meghan, the House of Lords, Brexit, immigration or any other topic - you name it, are probably all closely associated with the Daily Mail's. That is no coincidence.

If the Daily Mail told everyone to beat their children black and blue, there would probably be people on here advocating for it.

Its the way this country works, the press influence and manipulate the masses. And the country follow it like sheep. Its why we have a Tory government every election, its why we voted for Brexit.

Blair knew this, he really only got in because he cosied up to Murdoch. Its a sad state of affairs but nothing will change it.

So true. It also comes down to the level of education one has and which paper you decide to read. They’ll argue that they never bought the paper, yet they’ll follow the views of one who has.. online. Daily Mail isn’t just paper.. it’s online.

I bet many on here will tell you that you don’t need to go to University and some of the subjects taught are mediocre that won’t get you anywhere in life. Yet those saying this (never been to uni) will never understand the value of education, no matter what you study.

What I find funny is how people support a party as if it’s a football team they support. You should never have that much loyalty to a political party. I will never.

”Because everyone on here is influenced by the RW Press.”

That’s probably a tad bit exaggerated...

"It also comes down to the level of education one has and which paper you decide to read"
    Really?
Lots of assumptions going on here. I don't read any papers. I guess that means I had no education. Reminds me of when the BBC did interviews with Remain and Brexit supporters. The Remainers all had shirts and ties on and the interviews were in a posh Hotel. The Brexit supporters looked like real down and outs and were interviewed in a pub. Where I live we have Doctors and Lawyers who voted Brexit. Never interviewed. I go by what I see, and what I have worked out for myself. I was doing that 40 years ago before all the Brexit talk.

I find a lot of people that have a university education are very full of their own importance and incredibly Left Wing.

There’s absolutely no difference to being indoctrinated by your education to being indoctrinated by what you choose to read and the circles you might find yourself living in.

Quite frankly Regis, your opinion is worth “Jack S h I t” as is mine OR both are completely valid.......you can’t have things one way just because it’s suits your narrative.

It annoys me when I get labelled politically considering I’ve voted Labour at least twice and Lib and Lib Democrat a couple of times as well.

I’m a “down the middle guy” and centre right Labour or centre left Tory.

    I dislike extremes.

    I’m a Libra!

I find it somewhat condescending and insulting to label people and their opinions on the level of education that they received. From a personal point of view I was the son of a policeman, attended the local grammar school and then a teacher training college, as it was referred to then. So what should that make me politically? I haven't a clue, nor has anyone one else. I suppose that I had a half decent education and therefore, according to some on here, I should be reasonably intelligent and lean to the left. Somehow I must have been indoctrinated by those who had a lesser education who were influenced by the Daily Mail and voted Tory. Absolute rubbish!

Sweeping generalisation and most definitely not true in my case. For balance I'm not influenced by the left wing press either. I have a mind of my own.

There are categories though, political divides which you can draw on. The majority of younger, degree level educated people voted to remain for example. It doesn't mean everyone of them did. Likewise, it doesn't mean every older, non degree educated person voted to Leave. But there is a trend.

Similarly, there is a typical reader of certain newspapers. I don't know if that is me being snobbish or condescending, maybe it is. But I'd be surprised if the scientists who worked at Oxford University on the vaccine, were sitting down and reading the Daily Star on their lunch breaks.

I think me and Regis are just pointing out demographics.
