Obviously the Australian concept of irony is as well developed as it is in the US of A (not much).

Anyway back to the football - Fulham manager summed it up for me, the better side won - enough said. Bamford post match interview was interesting, he was clearly knackered before the game started, said he couldn't run as mush as he normally does and others had to cover for him! Probably as well he didn't get the call for the England game as he need to hit the physio. Very modest response when asked about being considered for England, 'at the start of the season I didn't even consider it so to be mentioned is something' or something like that.

Thought Parker was very harsh on his team. Yes we generally played the better football but Fulham could just as easily have come away with all the points.

I thought Bamford's interview was brill. I am still getting over Scott Parker and his interview. I lost count of how many times he said "the better side won".

I, for one am totally delighted we won and the icing on the cake...we won in London. OK it might not have been the best football we played but IMHO the team fought hard for the win. I would love us to play superb football and score tons of goals every game. Which supporter wouldn't?

We have got mid table in the Premier League with pretty much the team we have had for the last few years. We have had (not that the TV people ever mention it) loads of injuries which have resulted in numerous defensive combinations and more than one player playing out of position. So I say let's try to enjoy our 1st season back after the previous 16. Remember "Rome wasn't built in a day" and neither The Don or Wilko won the League in their 1st season.

So Keep Calm and Keep Marching On

Agreed 100% although I suspect he was being "modest" wrt what others (including back room staff) might contribute.
