Personally I think bills should not be allowed to increase by more than ones salary!! So these NHS workers will feel completely shafted with their 1% whilst many bills go up by 3% plus!!!

Council tax like many things should be a percentage of your annual earnings so it’s fair for everyone!! Bit like speeding fines they should be a percentage of your earnings too - why should someone on 12,000 a year pay the same £100 fine as say Harry Kane on over 200K a week! Pathetic!
Remember the poll tax Al, that was on paper a more equal system and look what happened to that! Income is to easy to fiddle, most self employed folks seem to be able to play the system whereas paye employees carry the bulk of the personal tax burden, hence someone self employed or running a firm could be raking it in dividends but paying themselves a ridiculously low salary and would be well pleased with your idea..
