It’s amazing how we have gone from Ardley not being able to get the most out of this talented squad the owners have put together to now it’s the players after he’s gone. Facts are we have a decent squad in the national league and all those inconsistencies that come from it, yesterday being a prime example. I think these players do care but their mentality/focus just isn’t always 100% because the level their at, it’s happening to every single team in the league, bar Sutton, though even they are dropping points now.

My worry is that I was blaming Ardley for poor performances, poor tactics and formations and not getting the best combinations from a good squad of players at his disposal.
It seems I might have been wrong and the problem could be bigger than that , it could be that we have a squad of poor players after all. !!
Personally I hope some of the performances were solely just down to poor management and a bit of fine tuning in the coaching department is the solution.
One things for sure , We cant judge IB capabilities on just one 45 minute coaching session or one game.
I thought Charlie slater was rather rude about him after the game, some criticisms aimed in IB's direction once he was back in the dressing room, a cheap shot maybe !?

For me the problem lies in midfield, they just reminds me of that Nolan side, too small and too slow. Think leagues 1 and 2 and this league requires 2 tall bullies and a play maker, imo we have the rest in place?

There's no way you have the best defence in the league if your recruitment is crap.

I also think we're not far from having a decent attack. On the numbers, we can score goals but haven't been creating the chances. That doesn't sound terminal at all. It could well be that the solution is one of mentality and tactics. Or Roberts coming back

Being in the playoff spots with games in hand... in any higher league that's a solid position. I think we're all just edgy because this league is detrimental financially in the long term, so an extremely uncomfortable place to be.

Totally agree. We have no bite or driving force in midfield. We need a good box to box player.

I missed that bit Pedro. What did he say?

if I remember correctly he was on about the players letting the leads slip.
IB said it was they lost focus, but this was never countered in the interview or if so very briefly. However when talking to the studio they were blaming complacency and Charlie agreed with them (saying Focus and complacency were the same thing)but saying he didn't want to be rude so said nothing.
During the same conversation with the studio, I believe Charlie was questioning IBs experience as a coach in this division, not with regards the coaching and football, but whether he could cope with desire and attitude from national league players.
I was a bit shocked as I cant believe I have ever heard him question another managers credentials before.
Admittedly I was getting sorted for work.
Like I say it the conversation started with Charlie contradicting the word Focus in the summary with the studio (the studio lead but Charlie followed) which I believe continued into Charlie's concerns about his experience about dealing with attitude desire with teas in this division.
I've tried to you tube it to refresh my memory to be more exact for you, but I can only find Charlie slater east enders punch ups !!

To be fair there has been ample criticism of certain players this season such as Doyle, any full back pretty much other than Kelly Evans and pretty much all midfielders other than Wolfe. The criticism is simply now more focussed on the team as it is simply impossible to blame the manager after one game ( although it hasn't stopped some people!).

I think that is because everyone is not happy with the appointment. I know a few Notts fans that are not on here who are worried that he has no experience of this league and they have never heard of him and that it is a risky thing to do when we are still in the play offs.
I myself was surprised at what happened and who we have appointed but keep an open mind and hope he will be the next Steve Cotterill. But I think if we miss the play offs this season many fans will be unhappy imo.
