Looks like I've picked the wrong weekend to give up inhaling Copydex. Clutching at straws, as a non-viewer today, was Rodrigues' free kick any good? If not I may be back to mainlining Bostik this evening. I've just done a couple of lines of Coffee Mate but it really didn't do the trick.

Chuckling at folks calling that an "Ardley performance"... Ardley led this team to a secure-looking playoff spot and 3rd/4th in PPG. His replacement has led us out of the playoffs and the team is turning in relegation-battle level performances, but you call them "Ardley performances"?

Still, I should be glad you guys aren't campaigning for us to replace him with a third manager of the season... yet

    Neither. They would both lose!!!

This season is done. Sadly we are going to be in even more of a mess next season before this clown is removed.

I'm on the BrewDog cans myself. The free kick was good to be fair, I can at least deliver that good news to you.

Good thing he did put it away as well as we were never, ever going to score from open play.

Very very disappointing....no urgency,no movement upfront and a general lack of desire!
I know that the pitch wasn't fit for purpose but where was the ability to put the ball in the box?....the crosses that did go in were so poor that the Alty defenders didn't really need to work that hard!
Our centre backs have turned to jelly....every time an attacker runs towards them you always fear for the worst!
Brindley looked more adventurous in the first half as wing back but more subdued 2nd half when reverted back to 4-4-2...Chicksen looks composed on the ball but there was no outlet in front of him....I thought Ruben was far and away our most effective player and surprised to see him subbed....Wooten needs a break...everything he used to do so well has disappeared!
It's hard to see with the squad we've got, apart from Lacey & O'Brien, how IB can improve this lot!

Cheers for the sliver of good news. I'm not getting downhearted as it is clearly a cunning plan to save all of our attacking intensity for Tuesday, when we'll demolish Sutton 7-0 at Fortress Meadow Lane. Oooh. Maybe the Araldite is kicking in!

Another sliver of good news is that Chesterfield are 3-0 down at Hartlepool at half time. That means that if we win our games in hand we will overtake them, Halifax, Eastleigh and Bromley.

The bad news is that we have given no indication at all that we will win our games in hand.

Another goal for Pools and our GD becomes better than Cheaterfield's then. Bring on the Sutton. [nervous laughter]
