Yes, it's the wheat, malt and barley in beers that add the gluten, ciders are made with fruit so are naturally gluten free. Cider has become quite a big market in the UK, with varieties like pear, dark fruit, strawberry, and rhubard quite common. It's hard to find in a lot of countries though, what they call cider tends to be a very gassy sparkling wine.
