A racist comment never in a million years a poor joke yes.
Personally I think we have got rid of the wrong person as it seems that Ross actually cares about the club and how we are performing, where as the other might just be accused of happy of picking up his wages.
Criticising players because they aren't doing there job or having a poor game is fair enough by me and by most fans I would believe.
Imagine what would have been said if he had been dropped from the squad altogether for the Tuesday game.
The way Enzio has gone about this whole episode shows poor character, If he was offended then he should have had a man to man chat and maybe they could have uncovered why he was perhaps having a poor game with lack of movement and mobility.
Maybe he could have learned something from the criticism (even if it was a poor analogy) and worked on it in training.
The sooner his contract is up and he leaves the better , maybe his attitude and fragile character is why he is only half the player he could and should be.
PS what are they going to do in training or match day when Doyle swears at one of them and gives them some home truths ?

If referring to a black player having a doctored African passport as his movement was judged to be poor so he should definitely be older than what he claims isn't a racist comment then I don't know what is.

So if I compare an Australian to a New Zealander is that racist ?
He was compared to an African how is that racist , what's wrong with being African ? I think the intended insult in the jibe was that he had the movement of an old man, he was probably more ageist.
Do you get called POM over there ? is that Racist ? if so have you reported the perpetrator to the authorities?

It depends what comparison you make and if your target is specifically aimed at the Maoris or Aborigine and not the general population.

If you are calling someone African purely on the basis of his skin colour, yes. For starters, Africa is a continent, not a single country. The average Moroccan and the average Rwandan would look very different. Both countries are in the African continent but are very much populated be different people.

At best, the comment was racism based on ignorance and stereotyping. As has been said before.

There's a lot of people trying to defend a clear act of racist behaviour. Makes you wonder why.

So this is all Enzio’s fault? Right. The fact several players went to Turner and not just one to raise their concerns with him is irrelevant to you. You have based your opinion on his form as a footballer rather than the fact he WAS subjected to derogatory comment.
If Doyle or any player, coach or manager is giving ‘home truths’ their is clearly a line not to be crossed.
If I called you a pr1ck it would clearly be offensive. However you are just a pr1ck. If I called you <any colour, nationality, ***uality etc> Pr1ck, then it’s more prejudice.
In this case their is an argument for and against what the outcome for MR was. Maybe he did resign as he felt that he couldn’t repair multiple bridges in a short space and crucial time of our season. The assumption was he pushed.

Why do you think he didn't compare him to a German for example? Even he has admitted it was an awful thing to say. POM is a term of endearment here and is not racist in context whatsoever although I am sure one day its time will come. However I have an Australian passport ( and a British one). The word W O G is also a term of endearment to Italians here although that one is fast on the way out. There is zero context to your argument.

Context is key and you are completely missing the point / on a trolling exercise.

    It does.

People seem quite happy to just sweep it under the carpet, likening it to someone swearing at a player. You only need to watch some football this season to hear the commentator apologise for language that might have been picked up. That is happening all the time.

It also happened the weekend that racism was high profile with the social media boycott.

Ask them what "they" would like to be called, then ask them what they call each other.

The point is why didn't he shout 'are you sure your only 28 son ' in a slightly sarcastic tone rather than mentioning dodgy African passports there wouldn't be an issue. Now we have the ridiculous situation where people are blaming the player and 'snowflakes' .
