    DC , I agree.
We do not have an endless supply of cash here.
Getting guys like Woods and possibly Robertson onboard maybe won't appease everyone, but it's players in positions we need first pick and cover for.

I think this season Robertson was being touted for possible call up be Clarke.

I, like others are hoping we are using cash wisely and we see more attack minded signings soon .

It may be that we need to see the end of season and players being released , end of contract etc before we can get to see this happening.

And that is part of the problem. Is Brown really going to make an impact as a player here given his age and the fact that he simply will not get away with the same "aggressive" play? Would Griffiths actually have his head in the game which would be very unlikely since it hasn't been for a good couple of years now? We need some quality players in that are going to deliver and compensate for those average squad players. Our budget can't allow for expensive gambles that have little chance of paying off. Bryson being a prime example.

Can’t imagine Glass would have seen much of Clark Robertson when he was over at Atlanta so it seems a bit odd that he would want to sign him.

After watching the performance of Andrew Considine in the last 2 or 3 matches Glass has probably decided we need a new left central defender hence Robertson. Who can blame him for wanting to try something different. We need changes and in reality not all will be popular.

Possibly is lazy but another factor in ex players coming back could be down to their willingness due to genuine affection for the club and area. We won't tend to hear about the players who we try to get that simply have no interest in moving up to the North East of Scotland, not without a hefty pay cheque. Shinnie might be another at some point, obvious but like Hayes, if quality players that actually want to come here are few and far between we maybe take what we can get. Russell Anderson was another. Take Considine, he has his limitations but he loves it here, probably doesn't ask for much and is a steady enough pro that plenty managers have had faith in, hence why he is continually kept on. Getting on a bit though so he'll not be frustrating fans for too much longer I'd guess.

If McInnes signed Clark Robertson it would be dubbed the laziest of all of his lazy signings but that’s irrelevant.

There has been comments in other forums and the media that Gallagher and Robertson were both targets of McInnes which makes me a bit concerned about how much of an input Glass has in making our signings.

It is an American thing in their sports that the manager/coach is there to coach the players he is given and someone higher up buys and sells the players.

I hope that’s not the case here.

Genuine question - is Russ Richardson still with us or did he leave and take his wee black book with him when McInnes and Docerty left?

If we didn't try to sign Gallagher then I'd be pissed off.

The other signing we are making could also be viewed as a mcinnes type signing but one I'm looking forward to.
