We did make signing in Jan, albeit on loan: Giles and Wing. Both have been good signing and contributed a lot.
Anyone who thinks we were going to poach a proven striker from anywhere in Jan is kidding themselves. They would be playing for their club and not be released.
An amazing stat on Quest tonight says it all, "Rotherham had more shots on goal this season than Watford"..................just 1 striker on loan in Jan is all it took...........
How many were watching Harvey Elliot at 17, before he signed for Blackburn?? They must be out there......
So, a final twist of the knife, two minutes before the end of the season, to put us out of our misery. A fitting end to a most painful year.
No one can say we didn't give it a go yesterday, but we again just pulled up short.
I'm not sorry this season is over. I like my football in the flesh, not at the end of a cathode tube. A few weeks breath, then examining the new fixtures, to plan a few away days, to towns and clubs the size of ours, that don't see us as lower class upstarts.
Congratulations Derby, commiserations Owls and Wycombe. Must admit in all the twists and turns, didn't envisage finishing below the Chairboys.
How the heck can you say "I love TS"? The guy is a bombastic, uncouth small businessman. He's also a Pigs supporter. He's in RUFC for gain and vanity. Had he wanted to contribute something to the people of Rotherham he could have opened a hospital or hospice or food bank. I wish he, his clan and that appalling bunch who make up our board would just go away.
