    Exactly

Yet another example of how a good support staff can produce dividends

Not necessarily the manager but those that support him. Assistant manager, defensive coach, goalkeeping coach, scouts etc etc

I still think RUFC need to strength these positions to get the best out of the players we do ultimately sign.

According to Sky stats, we are equal top at conceding goals from set pieces. For a tall side i think we need someone to organise them, if someone does already then they're not any good. Wood tries it on the pitch, but who takes the role when he's not? Would he be better doing it off the pitch, or get someone in???(like a lot have already said).

Kabongo Tshimanga - striker - aged 23, started off at MK Dons and was released. Dropped out of the football league and he's played all over the place for many teams, similar to Freddie Ladapo. A little surprised a League two or one club haven't given him another chance.

Before we sign anyone in future we need to know a song can be composed around their name. I've a feeling this one might be a non-starter if we couldn't even get one for Michael Smith

I’m not so sure of that, there actually is a song with these lyrics

Mama was queen of the mambo
Papa was king of the Congo
    Deep down in a jungle
I started banging my first bongo

Understand Macca still lives at Wickersley wonder what he's doing now? To those that don't know who I'm talking about, Martin Wyllie McIntosh is one of thee most harden prolific centre halves we have ever had at our club. He reigned supreme with Chris Swailes by his side.

Give Macca a ring to sort this lot out, I'm sure he could bring good guidance on how to run and work a back line. A no nonsense Scottish hard b.astard that would instil some backbone in to a weak back four.

I think that might get black balled (or whatever colour ball is appropriate these days) by the Chief Officer of Equity and Inclusion.

We don't need a new assistant manager.

We don't need a new goalkeeping coach.

We REALLY need a defensive pro in to sort the back line.

    Breck?

With all due respect to him as a RUFC legend I think we need somebody with fresher, younger legs and who has been involved more recently in the playing side of the game.

Brecks and woody. How many more experienced defenders do we need to stop us shipping goals?
Hear,s a thought, Maybe it's not just the defence that's at fault. Maybe it's the style of play or midfield. Just a thought
