TBH had only half an eye on the match so far, but we seemed to have lots of possession and get into their box a lot. Looked like both Hoban and Hendry should have scored.
So far as I could see Hibs only had the one chance.
Need to be much more clinical in and around the box.
Fair assessment .... we've looked pretty good for most o' the half ... passin' and movement has improved, but dinna look like scorin, and we're still too one sided .... the 3 players worthy of note are MacKenzie, Hayes and Kamberi ... all on the left... nothing happening on the right - a long standin' issue ... disna help of course that McLennan is ****e!
McKenzie tho ... good tae see a player wantin', shoutin for the baa ..... and his passes so far have been quality .... onywye ... COYR.
Take McGeouch off and bring McGinn on
Seen us play worse - we just don’t ever work the keeper nearly enough in games.
We don’t deserve 4th this season if we’re honest, let alone 3rd
Sooner this clusterfuuck of a season is done the better...
McLennan, Kamberi, Kennedy and Hoban can all just **** off after the weekend.
I'm tearing my hair out this half. The number of times we get in a position to put in a cross or a shot and turn round and go backwards is just astonishing. Kennedy and McLennan the worst offenders.
Kamberi is at least showing some movement and opening up the Hibs defence a bit. He's pretty much the only one.
Need to change something now if we're to stand any chance of taking 1 point, let alone 3.
Agree entirely, Kennedy and McLennan are quite simply atrocious. Both have pace but neither, ever, takes on their man. I think they don’t have the ball skills or confidence to do so. The rest are largely garbage too. Another wasted evening watching that ****e! Clear-out required, including the aged Hayes, McGinn etc, who at least have had their days! Those who I’d keep will soon be off, I imagine!
It can’t be all clear out, get rid …. We don’t have that kind of money. But more to the point, Kennedy is an incredibly talented player: we saw it at St Johnstone. What the hell has happened to him at Aberdeen? Is he too afraid to take on a defender because everything under McInnes was about tracking back so don’t be left sitting on the ground once a defender has gone straight through you? McLennan admittedly was not an incredibly talented player but he was a reasonable prospect who sometimes fell over his feet. If his confidence was low before, it must be totally destroyed now with every team since the Jute punting long diagonals his way and, not being a full back, completely out of his depth (and with little help from Hoban). I’m not sure why Glass has subjected him to this torture but, who knows, maybe with Brown, Gallagher and McCrorie in defence next year attacking players will be able to do what they are supposed to do and attack.
More players getting into the box now is all well and good but it’s a bit of a painting by numbers exercise. It’s going to be a lot more useful when whoever the strikers are know the wide players are going to deliver and where they are going to deliver.
