Cormack has more of a backbone than Milne so we won't sell Ferguson unless we get the price we want. No doubt the transfer request prompted by a greedy b@stard football agent. Both Ferguson and his dad seem pretty level-headed people whenever I hear them speak so doubt it is them that has prompted this. Submitting a transfer request is all part of the game these days, we shouldn't be too bothered by it.
As others have said we should be perfectly happy to buy good young Scottish talent, get 2-3 seasons benefit from them and then sell on for a good profit that is then reinvested in the team. It's the only way we can realistically build the quality of team we want. Having multiple examples of a pathway to the riches of englandshire is also what will help recruit the best young talent to keep the cycle going
