it's easy done, when people have been mentally mechanised into artificiallity, where fantasy Is the new reality - they only need experience an Effect...and when fear is the prime mover, laid on thick...reason goes out the window, until folk defend the fabrication as a certitude - because they're living the reaction, right ?.....Then to seal it, comes the solution, yes there'll be demands, limitiations...but with a pat on the back and a dangled Reward, that'll also go unquestioned.
Et Voila....you've shaped an event, and re-designed reality, from nothing.

I was driving from Chorley to Bolton yesterday, it was absolutely pi$$ing down at around 6 o'clock in the early evening when we spotted a human snake of what must have been 200 people.

They were all standing in a line getting soaked to the skin to have one of Hancock's "emergency jabs."

The wife asked why were they not observing social distancing or wearing masks?

    Beats me love.

"as they discussed the strain ripping across Bolton"

The latest available stats from the GOV.UK website, % testing positive in Bolton,

    May 10th 7.9%
    May 11th 8.1%
    May 12th 7.6%
    May 13th 7.3%
    May 14th 7.3%
    May 15th 7.4%
    May 16th 7.3%

Aye, the Indian scariant is ripping through Bolton like Robbie Brady and Berg rip through opposition defences for the Clarets. Just more of the usual Project Fear media scaremongering. Why do they lie, it's not ripping through Bolton, the latest stats show it declining.

They are certainly having success with the fear factor.
I walk around the local area, always happy and always speak to people wishing them good morning or how are you or anything else as is my wont. Some of the looks I get are incredible as if I am going to give them the lurgy by saying something in passing. I get a response from only about 10% of those I speak to who are willing to reciprocate my greeting. Fear reigns!

"TEHRAN (FNA)- Cases of the Indian variant of the coronavirus in England have risen by nearly 50 per cent in three days and more than doubled in a week, new figures showed. Numbers have increased by more than 1,000 since Monday, and by more than 2,000 in the past seven days, according to official figures, The Independent reported. A total of 3,424 cases of the Indian variant of coronavirus B1617.2 – thought to be more transmissible - have now been confirmed in the UK, Public Health England (PHE) said. Thursdays figure’s represent a rise of 2,111 on the previous week, when there were 1,313 cases, and a rise of 47 per cent since Monday’s 2,323 cases in the UK."

The Iranians quoting the Indy, that's a lethal cocktail, where they get their figures from I've no idea, maybe they just make them up. Here are the latest figures from the GOV.UK website,

Cases in England by Specimen date,

    May 10th 2164
    May 11th 1737
    May 12th 1764
    May 13th 1651
    May 14th 1449
    May 15th 1245
    May 16th 1516
    May 17th 2248
    May 18th 2077
    May 19th 2031

The 3 latest figures look like they are due to a massive increase in the number of tests carried out, and they're only back to the level seen on May 10th anyway. No sign of the 1,000 or 2,000 increases the Beano talks about.
