You're right though, Brown will know better than anyone. So if he was to come then I guess we should all feel he's worth a shot.
    “On form”.
How long ago are you going back?
Avoid the fat c unt like the plague.
    He’s a waster.
Couldn’t be arsed to get fit for the Tims 10 in a row attempt, nor Scotland at the Euros.
Let Hibs waste cash on him when Nisbet goes.
I’d rather we signed a striker in the way up.

    ^^^^^^ this all day long.

Why would he bother his arse for a tin pot outfit like us ? Undoubtedly a very good player on his day but unfortunately those days are in his past now .

Let Hibs take him , I’m sure we can be more productive with the wage he’d demand than blow it on a has been .

I honestly think he’d be a disaster here. No arguing at his best he’s the best striker in the country- but he’s been nowhere near for 2-3 years. If he can’t be arsed trying a leg for Timothy going for 10IAR, why the fuuck would he bother his arse here? Nah, avoid like the plague.

Just wish he’d been like this in that Deila season where he was scoring for fun. Wee prick did more than anyone (well, apart fae Milne obviously) to scupper our hopes that year

As for the others mentioned earlier, you didn’t need a fuuckin traffic light system to know permacrocks like Devlin & McGeouch would spend little time on the park - a cursory review of their career histories would have told you that.

Maybe try applying this process to
Players before we fuuckin sign them then eh AFC - just a thought...

To be fair, I think there was pressure from lawell to play strikers like edited that they saw going for multi-millions plus sell in clauses. I’d imagine if you had goals in you and knew you weren’t going to get a proper crack at the whip you’d be demotivated.

Still think he’d be a red light as for the wage he’d be on that’d be too much of a gamble.

I must be the only one that would take Leigh Griffiths. A natural born goalscorer. Who cares if he has issues. If we want to get better we need a goalscorer like this. Offer him a wage but a better bonus enticement on appearances and goals scored. The dangle of the carrot might be enough to get him in a better frame of mind.

For me, it depends on who the other options are instead of going for Griffiths. We've been promised one or two exciting "names" - the only exciting names we're going to afford are those who have been a bit off form the last year or so, those who are a bit older, or those who have had injuries (we must avoid this option from now on!).

I see Russ Richardson has gone now, so I wonder who's actually provided the current list of players they're looking at? Was it Richardson's list before he left? I imagine Glass will have one or two in mind from the US leagues, Russell might have one or two youngsters in mind from down south, and Brown will likely have suggested a few names from Scotland.

It'll be interesting to see how Glass' success rate in the transfer market compares to McInnes. No doubt some of his signings won't work out but he'll need to have a pretty good strike rate in this first window considering he'll be replacing at least half the team.

I would take him - if he comes into a team where he's the main man, playing every week, with a chance of getting back in the Scotland squad etc I think it could work out well - give him a 2 year deal - if he's as good as he can be he'll be the best striker we've had in decades, if he's similar to what he's done in the last year or so he'll still be better than anything we've had up front in the last 2-3 seasons.

Griffiths and Thomas as experienced forwards, then maybe sign some unknown quantity from abroad and a young prospect from an EPL club on loan. Someone like Watkins might sign over and above that as he can play in other positions too.

Glass says he wants his squad all signed up for when they come back for pre season mid June. That would mean 2 signings every week from now to then. Is that really achievable
