Neilson. It was reported that he didn't like 'not having enough access to owner Mark Ogren as he would have liked', having to go through Asghar for everything. He doesn't have that at Hearts with direct access to Budge. As said earlier, he'll have know this when he took the job, just like Mellon, but eventually a manager wants to be his own man. It's going to limit who takes the job in the future. I think Ogrens statement is a dead giveaway highlighting exactly the type of appointment we're looking at - "Dundee United will now look to appoint a new Head Coach in accordance with our long term performance strategy.” ie the McInnes' & Robinsons of this world need not apply.

Think Neilson would have took the hearts job no matter what, he is a hearts man.Really never knew he did not get on with Asaghar and wanted to deal straight with the yanks.Yeah think you are right any new manager will have to deal with Asaghar as he is the guy managers have to deal with like lawwell was at septic think dundee work similar with their owner in America and managers having to deal with nelms suppose utd will just have to employ a manager that understands that, be best if they explained to new manager way club works and that owners are in America and asaghar is the man they will be dealing with over here.

I'd be really surprised if this wasn't clear to MM when he took the job.

Have you ever considered that the manager was worried with some of the things happening above him that he had never witnessed in all his years in football and decided the owner needed to know what was going on?.

Riddles again. What did he witness? And why in the end did Ogren choose Ashgar over Mellon?

Think there would have been a way for MM to get in touch with owners if he was really worried about way club was being run.At my work you go to gaffer if that does not work you go to managers if that does nt work you go to junior directors if that does not work you write to owner.Think utd would have similar?

they have a whistle blowing letter box in Swiss Tonys office. I gather the 242 letters Micky posted were lost in 242 seperate fires which is just damn bad luck really.

It's clear something like this has gone on but I actually think AB has a point, MM could have found a way to communicate with MO, surely?
