I think this is the most interesting out of all the names suggested. Of course it is a risk, but developing our own and promoting from within is surely something we should be aiming to do with coaches as well as players.

I think the characters at play here make it all a bit more murky, but if you try to ignore the Asghar/Asghar complication the ethos of what is suggested is not a bad thing. I have been a staunch supporter of Mellon all season but if it was the principle (rather than the characters) he didn't get on board with then I think he has to carry some blame. Maybe not enough to sack him though.

I will support anyone in the dugout (now that it isn't Malky that is) but would be very keen to give Courts a chance and would have infinitely more patience with him. Plenty of panic about how this affects us for next season and a relegation fight. Again, just look at the massive change in virtually every team around us - Livi, Ross Co, St Mirren, Motherwell, Aberdeen all have big rebuilding and squad remodelling to do. We don't have that. Yes, we need to improve squad strength but we are in a better position than those clubs with Dundee and Hearts being unknown quantities over a season at this level (suspect both will be fine)

Just wonder if it is the principle or the personalities behind the suggestion that we are most concerned about. Would we have the same concern with the personalities if they weren't related?
