If he's lying then there should be plenty of witnesses prepared to come out and blow his story out of the water.
I find it funny how people who defended him last year a la Bernard Castle, are now coming out to say he's lying.
I find it hard to believe a single word that comes out of this Government or his mouth. But when he tells of the calamity that was our Government at the beginning of the Pandemic, then it sounds very plausible.
Also, his description about the choice faced by the country between Boris and Corbyn being crackers was entirely accurate.
Unfortunately 123, he was a liar last year and, unless he's repented his sins, he just as much a liar this year. A thoroughly nasty individual whom I've never had time for. He even admits himself that he was well out of his depth in his role.
Also unfortunately he's had a big impact on the direction of this country in the last few years, with both Brexit and being part of Boris Johnson's team.
So he deserves to take as much responsibility as anyone for the tens of thousands of deaths and impending financial mess we will find ourselves in.
I don't often agree with you politically 123, but you are correct. As Boris' chief adviser he was as, if not more, culpable as anybody else for mistakes made. In fact everybody made mistakes, politicians, scientists, advisers alike, no matter what the political persuasion. Starmer wouldn't have done any better and probably no worse. Hindsight is a wonderful thing!
The problem with Cummings is that he is a proven liar and, as I've said in a previous post, is attempting to ingratiate and get the public on his side. Not an edifying spectacle. He should have left quietly, kept his mouth shut and acted with a little more dignity and not be the obnoxious individual that he is.
