    Wilder Incoming

According to the Mirror. Just ironing out the final details.

I've heard for a few days now from my journalist friend that this was as good as a done deal.

I'd say he'll be announced any day now.

My mate who runs his own betting Tipster website told me this was a "done deal" at the weekend.

Wilder's record everywhere has been absolutely stellar up until last season and Blades fans in the main were gutted when he left.

There's something of the "Megson" about him in attitude, chippiness and unwillingness to waste time on f u c k wits so I'm happy with this appointment.

Sheff Utd were extremely unlucky in games I saw them in last season including against us.

His purchase of Burke is what Albion fansare using as the stick to beat him with, some have mentioned Brewster as being a bad buy yet I remember BaggieBlood suggesting he'd be a good buy for Albion last summer and it's not often BB makes a bad shout on a player.

I think this is a good choice if true.

Hope you are right Mick. He's certainly not a bad choice. I suppose I was really pleased with the way we were shaping up as a team albeit way too late at the end of the season. I want us to have a rock solid defence and an exciting attack but then on a budget, we know that's asking for a lot. Pulis gave us a defence, Bilic an attack and I felt that Sam gave us a good balance of both. What will we get with Wilder? A lot of 1-0's? I just don't know. Anyway. Fresh start. Again

I very much enjoyed our 1-0 and 2-0 wins under Megson, those were the days when we really felt that once we'd scored we'd won the match.

The Megson style was very different from the Pullis style as well, we had Bob Taylor, Andy Hunt, Lee Hughes and Roberts through that era and we were not a boring side, the difference was we could defend and attack and we were competitive all over the pitch, that's what I hope to see under Wilder.

He'll do, as John Wayne would say.
