I think Lennon needs a break from football at the moment. If this was 6-12 months down the line then he would be a good choice, as his work with Hibs showed.

For me the outstanding candidate is Alex Neil given his work at Hamilton and initially at Norwich & Preston.

Neil Lennon certainly good enough and not averse

TC is a gamble as was Jim McClean but if chosen he has to be backed until position becomes untenable, if it does.

Wouldnt have minded Doddsy in some capacity, obviously ICT have seen something in him

Bottom line is that you can have as many qualifications as you like, but the players have to produce and have to WANT to play for a manager/coach.

qualifications mean jack sh!t to be honest. Cant believe our scottish largs academy is as well thought of as it is. Paint by numbers stuff. Alex Neil - i just cant see it tbh. but who knows. would be a young proven and hungry manager
