Appleton odds are cut! Please please not Appleton! Blackpool did not get out of second gear to beat Lincoln and there was no plan B.
The only way it will be Appleton is for the very cheap option and being knob Dowling’s chum!

I sat there and watched yet another abysmal, entertainment free match under Pulis and decided I'd had enough. Not been to a game for over 4 years now, and probably won't be going to another ever. I should thank the bloke really: more money in my pocket and more time spent with my family. Moved to Gloucester when I was eleven and spent 50 years travelling up there but it's unlikely I will again. I've just retired so I have plenty of time on my hands. If I do fancy watching a game it will probably be Tuffley Rovers (15 minute walk) rather than a 119 mile round trip to see Albion.

Appleton is still learning the trade. Gary Megson was saying in an article that West Brom need an experienced manager. Appleton, Lampard, and especially Terry shouldn’t even be mentioned as a passing thought. We deserve a well proven respected name as founder members of the league.
Yes and no Boingy. I’m not so keen on the names above apart from Lampard, but I definitely don’t want a dinosaur. Someone on the managerial merry go round is a big no no. I take McInnes any day. I’d consider Lampard as risk worth taking though, just because he’s out to prove. I’d love for a di matteo type to come in (based on his early days with us). How do other clubs get these appointments but we get linked with Appleton?
Looking at the betting this morning and a lot of sites have now got Appleton moving up the list some even got him down as favourite
In all my years supporting the Baggies I have been the eternal optomist, even in the dark times in the third tier. However, I am really pessimistic regarding our future. We don't really know who actually owns us. What a sad state of affairs that is. By all reports, Appleton is now favourite for the position of manager. For God's sake, where is our ambition? The answer is that we haven't got any. What is the problem with Wilder? Money, I would imagine. I want Lampard, as I've said before, but would willingly accept Wilder. Appleton, no thanks, but I'm sure that's who we'll end up with. It's just going from bad to worse!

If its Appleton that's me finished ,
Me too Jonny - how we are being linked to a league 1 manager is shambolic! Appleton had zero plan B once Blackpool scored and they didn’t get out of 2nd gear!
The problems always come back to that knob Dowling and putting in a weak manager would give him more power!
