The black players have said the message is being lost, not that taking the knee should be boo'd.

If you're in the ground and feel its political, you've got every right to protest - I still don't understand it but you have a right to do it. If you're at home hoping the fans boo, I seriously struggle to understand that even further. I just don't get it.

Billboards, you think that will stop a racist person being racist? I can't see it myself.

Lifetime bans, how does that help? I really don't get why clubs say they will ban racist fans for life. They're effectively saying 'you can't be racist in our football club, but go outside to the community and hold the same views'. How does that help their local community?

Perhaps many people are right in saying that you will never eradicate it. But by far and away the best measure to fight it is with education. Those who are racist shouldn't be punished, they should be pitied and then educated/rehabilitated.
