Jesus Christ I have just read the link. Me and Mrs BT went to Bury this morning, The Rock was half empty, the market 25% full, the car park more than half empty, shops like Debenhams and Hotter are now shut, market stalls empty.

Whatever psychological trick the government are pulling it, is certainly working. Ye Gods, what a f*cking mess.

The next psychological trick is actually well in progress at the moment and for the next few days. The Test Match at Edgbaston has a large crowd attending over the whole 5 days, the football at Wembley on Sunday will have 20000 attending, Hampden Park will see a crowd of 12000 on four occasions over the next few weeks.

The next step? Well, BJ is talking about 21 June being the day when 'some normality' is scheduled to return, however, the boffins and quite a few others are saying that it will not be safe and all should be extended. The figures will be manipulated to show that thousands of people have tested positive and that the crowds will not be allowed at the future Euro matches etc., etc. and that we are now in Phase 3 of whatever they are trying to achieve..

Meanwhile ---life goes on -----for some!

As has been stated although the number of positive cases is creeping up the numbers of admissions and deaths is very low now. It's the level of testing, which is far higher now than at the beginning of the pandemic which is picking up every man and his dog whether they are ill or not. With most people vaccinated we should be able to go for that herd immunity by letting it run it's course and the younger people will just develop natural immunity which will stand them in good stead for the future or so it would seem to me.

It is working BT, it's very clever and very effective. Every day for the last two weeks the BBC has been inviting on as many 'experts' as they can find, and they're all those who say we're doomed if Boris ends the restrictions, The BBC News tells us about the rise in 'cases', never mentions the fact that hospitalisations are virtually unchanged, they tell you the number of deaths since this began well over a year ago, a massive number now, they never tell you that fewer people have died over the last three months than the 5 year average.

It's an onslaught of propaganda, intended to make people fearful, afraid of the end of restrictions, when Boris announces he can't end the restrictions, many people, those millions who still trust the BBC, will be relieved, thankful even, they will believe he had no choice,
they will think it the wise thing to do, they will have been conditioned.

I know how well it's working BT because I know three people who are extremely intelligent, Cambridge University, PhD level of intelligence, and all three are scared sh1tless, you wouldn't believe how scared they are, scared of going out of their houses. It's an impressive trick and no mistake.

I also know people similar to those you mention sinkov, yes they do exist up here too, and they, along with 90% of the local populus are also scared and they even cower if you speak to them on the street!

As I said previously, I just can't see an end to the restrictions but life goes on.

    Health Warning

The Food and Drug Administration announced a recall Thursday of a coronavirus rapid antigen test, accusing the company that makes the tests of distributing them without regulatory approval and using falsified data that inflates their performance.

The Innova Sars-CoV-2 Antigen Rapid Qualitative Test is a main pillar of the UK’s test and trace system, with more than a billion tests supplied so far in contracts worth around £3bn.

As a result, Innova, a US diagnostics firm, recently announced that it is ramping up its UK operations by opening a factory in Wales, which will produce millions of its LFTs per day.

The agency announced a “Class 1 recall” — its most serious type, indicating that use of the tests may cause serious injuries or death — and fired off a warning letter to Innova Medical Group of Pasadena, Calif., saying an FDA investigation revealed serious problems in the company’s data, but also in its making unapproved rapid tests available to consumers in the United States.

“Our inspection revealed that the SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Rapid Qualitative Test has been distributed in the United States without marketing approval, clearance, or authorization from FDA,” the agency wrote.

Its decision raises significant pressure on the UK government over its mass use of Innova’s LFT and comes as the British Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is considering whether to extend the product’s licence.

thats been said plenty - Krit....their unreliability is well documented - as the PCR also - as for sterile conditions, get jabbed in a car park and test results from inside a windy tent or if your lucky, sent to some skanky lab...Milton Keynes perhaps.
