Would like to see Fraser & Forrest introduced at some point on Tuesday. Forrest showed the direct play that he brings in his subby appearance vs the Czechs. Fraser can do the same on the other side. Too often we went long vs the Czechs. Gilmour in the midfield can be the catalyst for us attacking on the ground instead of lumping it to Dykes.
Yes agreed, when i spoke about us going long i never meant to the head i was on about us playing it in behind their centre halves into the space between defenders and the keeper for players to run onto.
Wee Billy or McGregor are capable of that range of passing.I fully accept the quality of our opponents but we are a team on the up and they are on the way down from very dizzy heights.
I fully accept its a massive challenge but in my opinion although without a goal i think we have looked a more dynamic team against the same opponents.
Sorry, need to say it (and it's bound to come back to bite me) but Forrest is pish.![]()
Forrest is absolutely worth half an hour when the opponents tire and the game is stretched, as is Fraser. We need to try something different because right now we couldnae hit a cow on the arse with a banjo.
From 1974 to the present day there has only ever been heartbreak for my ancient nation in every finals they have played in.The bookies are telling me its deja vu and the millionaire ex English footballers told us we were out after two games this time.
According to the maths we have a 36% chance of qualifying up from 20% before Wembley so i probably should just accept my fate BUT there is something a wee bit different this time as we play at Hampden on the back of one of our best performances in years.
If the players can replicate their magnificent Wembley showing with just a tiny bit of luck we can Boogie all the way to Budapest or wherever for the round of 16 and perhaps even further.
Get stuck right into them from the first whistle boys!!!.
It ain't coming home,FACT.
