IMHO our biggest issue in the ST era after that transfer window in the months/years that followed was a complete split in the support. This 100% spilled on the pitch/dressing room and no doubt had a long lasting negative effect. ST got it wrong, we were right to be raging but we also played a part in the downward spiral that followed by creating an atmosphere both on match days and non match days that our players struggled in. This then caused us to react numerous times in desperate ways to bring in different types of players, managers etc....

To me it looks like its about to happen again!! I actually hope the fans dont get back in to the ground till later in the year, the negativity first few months will be mental if we do.

Agree and no news from the club to calm this negativity.

It takes me back to the school days where everyone else wore new clothes for the new year and some got stitched up hand me downs.

Interesting to see my assessment of the players we need to stand still and improve has been moved away from the transfer thread to this thread.

After two positive seasons, where both chosen managers completed their objectives and the same guys have chosen a third manager and unknown quantity, Utd fans will get the chance to see there team in the prem in person for the first time in 5 years

Not only that an exciting start to the campaign, Aberdeen away (drew 0-0 won 3-0), Sevco home (lost 2-1), St Johnstone away (drew 0-0 twice) and Hearts at home (no great shakes on the road)

I'm optimistic but not without concern, putting some faith in it and waiting to see how things go over the next couple months, hoping we'll be pleasantly surprised by how the new manager does

Like I said, if anyone has any issues use the PM facility.

I've had to move six pages of posts one by one using my mobile at 9am on a Sunday morning. Not only that, I've tried to separate the actual transfer posts from the off topic ones. Sorry if yours slipped through the net but I'm not super human. If you want to direct me to the post, I'll reinstate it to the correct thread once I've had my breakfast. Thanks.
