Surely you can't get into trouble for something that never happened? Neither can I imagine Pereira at this stage in his career wanting to move to China.

Depends on what the never happened was. I didn't buy the wife a card for our wedding anniversary the other day and got in plenty of trouble for that 😊 .......

If the only thing that they are looking into is the Pereira 'transfer' I don't really see how we can be punished for something that hasn't happened. It's like finding a man guilty of murder because he intended to do it but didn't go through with it. Having said this, this club is in danger of imploding if we continue to run it in the manner that we are at present. As we all know it all starts at the top. Clubs who are well run and successful do so because those at the top run it in the correct way e.g. Leicester City. The you've got that slimy little man that we've got. Need I say any more!

You don’t have to commit a murder, you can be charged with conspiracy to murder.

The punishment would be less though, surely.

The FA and EFL are inconsistent, though, look at the Derby case, Sheffield Wednesday were docked points for a similar offence to Derby’s and suffered relegation as a result; Derby are still in the Championship and unless the FA and EFL pull their fingers out, it will be too late to relegate Derby and reinstate Wycombe Wanderers.
