Imagine we have a good season after all this premature drama
No idea what we are paying boys like Pawlett/Clark etc but what if JDH wanted say 3k a week? From what Courts said it appeared as if they gave him what he wanted he would have been one of the highest earners. Is he really worth that? The club have decided not. Fair enough. I dont think us having X amount of players on the books had anything to do with it. We are still looking for players so it cant matter.
Its not just a Man City model. There are clubs in the Scottish Prem with more staff than us on that front. A big part of it was caused by the whole Elite Academy requirements. Its just another thing thats been blown out of proportion. Man City might pay an analyst £20k a week (guess) but we might pay them £750 a week (guess) and that is just the full time ones. So many of them are part time. Its all relative. The board should be praised for trying to keep the club moving forward with modern football and not criticised for it. In my opinion anyway.
Absolutely. A poster on EF said that this season was a 'win-win' because if it goes well we are all happy and if it goes wrong then 'we were right'.
Definitely not the opinion of any on here. I hope he was taking the p1ss but I've not been back on that forum since to check. It is some place. Scary at times.
Quite a few posters have used our achievement of staying up reasonably comfortably (in the end) as the yardstick.
But that's overlooking the fact that we had a manager who knew how to grind out draws with battling performances. We just don't know yet if we can rely on TC to get that. He might.
It's also overlooking that this season is a much tougher league. Fact.
It's also overlooking that other clubs are strengthening while so far we haven't. Exception being we've added a player at CB.
As Shedka says, the drama queens will be a laughing stock if we finish comfortably top 6 and avoid a relegation scrap.
As things stand tonight I can't see it, but there's still time.
I think it's very important that we embrace modern techniques. Absolutely. And being honest if we had appointed Derek Mcinnes (or similar) a lot of this would probably not be getting mentioned.
Some of it is sarcastic banter but underneath there lies a concern that we are turning into a club driven by what a technical manual says and forgetting about some real basics.
I would rather have a cracking midfielder on 3k supplying chances for LoA than 3 average midfielders on 2k who struggle to control and pass a football to a player in Tangerine.
I will tell you why if we don't want him, fan power can get him out the door, loads ways to do it, stop season tickets stop people that pay in, don't buy the new gear.. he will be gone, but if enough don't care one way or other, he will still be here long as owner wants him to stay. He has got way to much power.
Do you'r poll then if you think it will over throw the regime at utd and make everything great.I have no problem with you doing it and if enough people agree with you and want to bring utd to their knees then so be it.You are a bit late for the season ticket bit though.
