Todays announcement is going to be ridiculous isn't it, you can't have voluntary measures during a global pandemic, we actually occasionally do need to 'follow the science'. The raging populism and telling people what they want to hear has already caused tens of thousands of extra deaths. This government seems incapable of learning anything other than how to successfully siphon off taxpayers money to their friends and Tory donors whilst the electorate look the other way.

That doesn't mean I'm suddenly going to convert to being a Lib Dem or Labour supporter, because I'm a Conservative at heart (more so actually than some in the Government), but there's no doubt that Hancock became a liability the moment his actions were exposed and he had to go.
You've forgotten to mention Gove,Priti,Boris amongst others as liabilities on the good ship fleece the public.

Even after all these months I find it mind blowing. There’ll be the same old nonsense about ‘personal responsibility’ like we let people have ‘personal responsibility’ over drink driving or speeding. There seems a determination on the right, since maybe Brexit, to go out of it’s way to ignore reason and evidence.

The nightmare scenario is a variant that evades the vaccines, but I’ve no doubt that’s the path we’re on.

There's so much noise, censorship, compromised people calling the shots, conspiracy theories and propaganda out there it's impossible to make any real sense of what's really going on, what should be done and what should have been done. It's probably a story that will have to be told by future generations, rather than those who actually lived through it, if anybody in the 2100s should care to establish the true facts.

The man who was employed by the WHO to oversee management of the Ebola outbreak has been warning that vaccinations must be stopped as they will inevitably result in mutations created in the vaccinated that could be more dangerous to younger people as well as being more easily transmissible and, ultimately, vaccine resistant. The scientist who discovered AIDS agrees with this hypothesis. Nobody is claiming that these vaccines stop you getting the virus, or passing it on, only that it lessens the symptoms...... for now.

Other leading scientists however are claiming that mutations are less than 0.5%, in which case you're probably going to be immune for decades if you've had it and - if the vaccines work - you shouldn't need a vaccine top up.

"Long Covid" and potential long term harm from experimental vaccines might be another spanner in the works. The man who invented the technology used in some of these vaccines has been censored by youtube and linkedin for expressing his concerns over where these spike proteins (generated by the vaccine) are ending up in the body, he has also claimed that the regulators have been captured. So this could be another ticking time bomb.

I wouldn't encourage anyone to vote Labour because they are indeed a party in crisis, but that doesn't mean we should just blindly accept the bunch of corrupt incompetents currently in charge.

Have you heard of Ivermectin, a drug being used by some third world countries to cure covid, very successfully as well, it's had tons of trials from all over the world, costs pennies to produce as well, but of cause big science has shot it down, the world we live in is a very strange place at the moment.

... just goes to show ... the scientists know sweet f a; the politicians know sweet f a; the public know sweet f a. If you vote it only encourages them. Don't vote! We live in a so-called 'free' society. If you don't like it go live elsewhere ... there are a few options ...

The patent on it has run out, which means anybody make it, so no huge profits can be made out of it.
Also, the licence for emergency use of the vaccines was (and is?) dependent on there being no effective treatment.

A quick google search tells us ‘big science’(whatever that is) is indeed conducting trials into the efficacy of this drug. Who has supposed to have ‘shot it down’?
