I must say I liked the cut of his gib in his first press conference.
High energy football hasn’t been see at our place for 40 years.
BRING IT ON!!!!!

I liked the - it’s my way or the highway! Taxi for a few of the lazy t wats ie Livermore and Sawyers!
As for Pereira and Johnstone - if you think you are Premier League - do one! Would take Phillips from Leeds every day over Pereira - hardworking - consistent - focused - feet on the ground and not a big head like Pereira!
Liked how Val is looking at the academy too! Looks impressive so far!
Hey lads, the big Valbowski dun't f*k abaart with lazy or morngy players, they have to toe the line his way etc or they will be dropped, pronto!!.
What's your squads average age, cos the high press thing does take it out of you over the course of a season and isnt it less subs allowed again next season.
All sounds good but will the prat in China sanction the path he wishes to follow?
FOL
Val has certainly instilled some confidence and hopefully will restore the goodwill of those fans who were losing interest.
We can’t wait to get back and use our ‘early bird’ renewals !
I’m hoping he will strengthen at central defence with a player of some experience
I think he is a breath of fresh air at the club.
However, you can only play a system based on what you have. Our lot at the moment can no more play a high pressing game as win the Premier League. Pressing starts from the top and can’t see a forward line of Zahore, Robinson and Grant closing down anytime soon.
How good he and the others are at getting in the right players will determine if he can change the system or not.
All good saying my way or the highway but who is going to take the likes of Livermore or Sawyers off us, especially as they are on lucrative contracts and won’t willingly go.
Looks a great appointment but needs the backing above him to have any chance of doing what he wants to.
He is very realistic as well, when asked about promotion next season he said he had a four year contract. He said his main priority was to get the player's into peak physical condition and get instilled in his way of playing. Only when that happens will he make a comment about promotion.
He also wants young and hungry player's who will relish the high press game. Karlan Grant could come good under the right coaching and service.
I hope he is given time to get the team playing his way, it won't happen overnight.
I like the way he appears to emphasise the importance of fitness and having the right mentality.
For so long now we have been too soft as a team, too many weak willed players who wilt when any pressure is on them.
Even the great sides with an abundance of very skilled players still work harder than the opposition. Barcelona probably had one of the most talented midfields of all time but they still covered more ground than the opposition.
It’s not just about running around like headless chickens it about having the belief and determination that you can genuinely expect to win the ball back.
