If we are going to play 3-5-2/5-3-2 then we need a decent creative midfielder. I'm assuming that if one comes in it might mean Harkes going and maybe a couple of the kids who can play in there will go out on loan (Glass, Meekison)

Cheers OA. Good to be chatting about transfers again on the transfer window thread. Also big thanks to GB for calling me out as one of the people that thinks the sun shines out of TA's arse. That is 100% untrue but that's fine we'll leave it at that.

Courts on the radio mentioned that a couple of signings potential moving this week. Obviously no names have been leaked anywhere recently apart from James Scott but with other teams interested you never know how it is going to go.

I think nearly everyone is in agreement that a winger and a centre mid should be top of the list.

I also don't think the sun shines out of TA's arse

In fact I've never praised him much if at all other than to say both prior manager appointments to date have completed their objectives so let's hope they get it right three in a row, I didn't agree with their choice but wasn't exactly enthused by MM either last year as was an unknown quantity up here

Hopefully we get James Scott, would be a great signing

We don't have a central midfielder who can spray the passes, thread incisive balls through to our strikers. We have a decent holding midfielder in Fuchs. That is about it.

Agreed. Thought Mochrie and Hoti looked good paired with Fuchs but that was v lower league opponents. Definitely need to add a creative mid.

We have central midfielders, but they create next to nothing.

For me Freeman can be that tricky wide player. Very impressed with him at this early stage. Definitely need a quality winger in though and also a creative midfielder.

Duffy and Freeman looking good in this flexible “wing back” set up. I’m still really not keen on three at the back but there were signs it could work in some games. We shall see. Looks like Tam likes that set up.
