In the Sky interview he was more or less saying they want to see the existing squad in action before deciding if we need additions at all.
A real lowering of expectations.
I'll be surprised if we sign anyone before we lose a few games and the fans are kicking off. Happy to be wrong and hopefully I am.

That is how i interpreted the Sky interview but other posters saw it differently and thought we were on the cusp of making signings.We are told the way things normally work is a club has a list of targets and they work down that list.
The Tele link that i put up has Tam saying the same three weeks ago but we do not appear to be any closer to signing 2nd,3rd or 4th on our list all we know is our 1st choice plays for Hibs.
In another interview we were promised 3 or 4 signings with the word probably in his sentence and we have replaced our NO2 keeper so far.I am now beginning to wonder if we have any intention of fulfilling that recruitment promise made on July 7th.
There is no doubt that Tam is very skilled with his media interview's and i think he would come over pretty well to any potential recruit's,the big question remains though,is The Bandit going to give him anyone to interview and paint his vision to before we head to Pittodrie?.

If we're going into our first game on Sunday with just two recognised strikers it's foolhardy in the extreme.

One of the two can't lead the line on his own and say Shankland gets injured we are so far down a dark hole it's untrue.

Plus it would mean any strikers who would be prepared to play under a rookie manager would know we're desperate at that point.

The current midfield is a bad gamble but the striker situation is just a dereliction of duty imo.

no there is clearly a ban on comms to fans. Just the daily record which means we aint signing anyone soon.

That is very definitely true. The Nevilles, Butt, Scholes, Beckham, Giggs etc were the exception to that rule. As Alan Hansen will testify.
