Personal choices now, just be sensitively and sensitive to others views, I’ll wear a mask in the concours but not in once in my seat.
From the evidence of yesterday’s first matches mask wearing in the crowd was virtually nil.
Remember, a mask, unless air tight with a valve does not protect you yourself from Covid so it seems pretty pointless in wearing one to me.
I went shopping in Solihull yesterday and initially put my mask on in John Lewis and then realised more than 50% of customers were not wearing one.
It felt very liberating to remove mine and get back to “normal”........I think the same goes for football now.
Let’s get on with living rather than existing.
I totally agree Mick but each to their own! I won’t be wearing mine and honestly think - if there’s any concern it’s best to stay at home. Life must get back to normal as mental health cases are rocketing!
Even GP’S will be looking to return back to seeing patients soon - 2025!! W ankers!
I will probably wear one on entry and in the concourse area but probably not in my seat. What I find really annoying now is when going into a shop, there are signs on the doors requesting people to wear a face covering but inside none of the staff are wearing one! I suspect that we will see a big rise in cases of Covid in the Autumn; having been ‘jabbed’ does stop you catching it but should greatly reduce the likelihood of becoming seriously ill.
I don’t agree Kets.
In Solihull yesterday every shop had merely advisory notices on their doors about masks and I reckon only 30% of people were bothering to wear one.
Fine if people want to but I don’t do I didn’t and neither did my wife.
If I was in the doctors surgery or a hospital environment then I would out of respect for others but in in public places or a public event.
Are you wearing yours when you’re out for a pint in the pub?
I suspect not so why bother when shopping?
Most important thing you can do is use the sanitizer on offer regularly and don’t touch hand rails on escalators and avoid touching your own nose and mouth which is what I did yesterday.
After 18 months seems the sheeple are waking up.
There was NEVER any reason to wear the mask- it did not stop virus particles but it did make people feel good[virtue signalling] or feel safe [ ill informed scaredy cats]
There was ample research disproving the validity/effectiveness of masks if you had but researched it.
But you did what the government said and believed their b....hit
I'm sure none of the contributors to this thread ever poured scorn on those who spoke out against masks. But lots did.
Anyway please don't get fooled again - most likely in the coming Autumn lockdown.
Be brave - we all owe our God a death but we owe the government and its unelected authoritarian officials nothing.
Stay awake , alert and ready to resist
The only pub that I have been into so far has been a small village pub with only locals and a few regulars, it doesn’t get crowded and there is plenty of ventilation. I have a sneaky feeling that I will be in the Soho Tavern on Saturday……….! Wearing masks in enclosed spaces most of the time will not, I agree, eliminate risk but it does reduce it. I just think that exercising a little care in the next few months may just help in preventing the plague running wild again in the Winter. I do not want mandatory restrictions imposed again.
