Spot on. This will not be resolved in any way until all the people who made the decisions have left office or died. Ken Clarke was Health Secretary when the blood plasma for hemophiliacs was contaminated by viruses. He left parliament and is only now being challenged about his role in the decision. People should get compensation in money terms, big money terms and forget about society giving them justice by holding someone to account. Society owes those who suffered big time and I think the only practical thing society can do is give money as a way to say sorry. Spending £ millions on legal fees for already fabulously wealthy barristers and advocates makes it even worse IMO.

Same comment from me to your post Islay. The victims and their families need compensation not revenge. Society could easily say sorry and offer a substantial sum as a way of demonstrating the contrition they feel for the appalling mistake they made in sending the elderly from hospital to the nursing/ care home sector.

Why should the taxpayers have to pay for horrendous mistakes whilst our politicians get off ‘Scot free’.
If any of my relatives died because they had been moved from hospital to their nursing/care home without receiving a coronavirus test and they subsequently died from coronavirus in their care/nursing home I would extracting my revenge. I would be demanding that the politicians who ultimately caused my relative’s death be put on trial for manslaughter.

Ken Clarke is now a peer in the House of Lords and he should be ‘hauled over the coals’ for his decision to ignore concerns by health professionals about using ‘dirty blood’ from America for blood plasma or hemophiliacs.

But Sturgeon does not run a majority government. Just maybe the Greens would see it as their duty to back a Scottish enquiry. Only trouble might be Scottish Tories would consider this as an indicator for Westminster. Be interesting if the SNP would actually sacrifice their queen, Nicola, in an attempt.to checkmate King Boris and shame Westminster into action.

Had hoped that the public would stop party politics and realise that politicians are our servants tasked with doing our bidding.
