Honestly, the only outlet I am disappointed in is Sky Sports News. They made a massive song and dance about the aftermath of England’s final defeat, paying attention to the ‘tweets’. Yet the same courtesy when the Spurs fans did their thing on Sunday was not afforded. Sky Sports News have a massive audience especially this time of season
I came across what happened via Facebook where someone had tagged in the BBC.
Mainstream media can’t wait for people to **** up. Whether it’s some racist idiot. Someone missing a penalty. Boris Johnson at al. They love to stir things up.
My comments were very much tongue in cheek and maybe I should have chucked an ‘lol’ at the end.

Very nice gesture. Does anyone know if it was booed by some fans?

Why did you feel the need to ask that?

It was actually on BBC TV news too as I watched it.
    It's strange isn't it.

People complaining that this is getting no coverage from the mainstream media and the BBC on a topic which actually starts with an article from the BBC covering it.

It was all over the mainstream media. Including Sky Sports and even the gammons favourite Sun and Mail.

A classic case of confirmation bias going on here.

I appreciate the Spurs fans fantastic gesture was on the BBC, which was brought to my attention from this site, well done BBC. I suppose I have just been disappointed that it doesn't seem to have got the wall to wall coverage, a negative action would have got.
We are definitely moving in the right direction regarding racism in this country.
In reply to drillerpie, I hope this was a genuine question and not an sly dig. If anyone did boo, they certainly wouldn't have been fans!

I read BBC news and I'm not an old person ha ha. All this nonsense about them as well, the right say they're left, the left say they're right. They're just reporting things it's upto you to read all the other sides and sources to find out the truth. I'd much rather get my news from BBC, guardian, Google news etc than get my news from twitter and Facebook with all the lies on there by idiots.

And as for nice gestures getting half as much coverage as anger, death and destruction, it always will be like that, humans love watching others misery and drama.

Absolutely. That is why soap operas exist.
