Fake news and conspiracy theories are a fact of life these days so don't be surprised. How do you think Brexit happened? It wasn't as if 70 million Turks actually did move in next door was it? Or that there's even a snowball's chance in hell of Turkey ever joining the EU. And even though life is so much more unstable, risky and expensive in the UK than it was in 2016 - and getting worse by the day - nobody will admit it and will try to dig out every excuse under the sun for price rises, food shortages, rising inflation, skills shortages, reduced public services, increased debt, tax rises and curtailment of freedoms rather than accept they were conned.

That's the real power of conspiracy theories and fake news - the gullible will defend their belief in it with their dying breath.

I wondered how long it would be Lusty, before the closet Remoaner in you saw the light of day.

Definitely and it looks like something between paranoia and prejudice but is probably just an aggressive defence mechanism

I was totally neutral mate but since Cummings admitted that the Leave campaign he designed intentionally lied to the British people to grab power I am somewhat cynical We were lied to and the ******* actually admitted it - and I hate the idea of being lied to.

Since then I've had to put up with gobby Leave voters confronted with the truth keep changing the reason they claim to have influenced their decision. Haven't met a single one that says they voted for Brexit because we were paying the EU £350 million a week or whatever the actual lie was - but weirdly there were loads of them on referendum day.

And when the lies became public they resorted to "it's happened, let's get on with it" - but still can't come up with a single thing that has actually improved since Brexit. And that's because it's got worse not better.

Of course buggers will still complain about what's happening to our country though - and probably blame it on covid, or the EU or anything but Brexit. Like the 30 thousand + European truck drivers who left leading to delays and shortages - presumably they were homesick?

Ironically, it turns out that it was the Brexit voters who betrayed our country. Turkeys voting for Christmas springs to mind.
Saddens me as a proud flag-loving British man to think that foreign powers can control how we think and decide the fate of our once proud nation.

There’s been Formaldehyde in flu jabs for years never bothered anyone though did it about getting a jab because people didn’t look , now this pandemic and the five minutes of fame brigade care out in force , telling everyone the Covid jab kills you and on and on it goes stirred up by non believers.

This had the best medical minds world over on it with unlimited budgets/ resources and minds available to come up with something to stop the virus killing people .

So the top brains in the world ( not just our government) find a solution that doesn’t stop the virus ( yet ) but enables us to survive if we contract it - and you lot want five years testing to see if it’s ok.

On balance flu jabs has Formaldehyde in and all your five minute of fame brigade ( experts ) never mentioned it over be the last 40 years because no one ever gave them the platform.

I’ve said this to Bt if you go back 2/3 years and you were ill you’d go to your Gp or a specialist doctor in his field and he’d say the best course of action is this and you need to take it.

You like me would have done as you were told without question , that’s the bit I can’t understand with all of this , unless of course your now telling me that these nonbelievers would have questioned the doctor and nhs told him he /she is wrong and refused treatment.

MEPs in Strasbourg voted by 471 to 37 to halt Turkey’s EU accession talks, with politicians ranging from the Conservative group to the Greens lining up to back a resolution that condemned the Turkish government’s “disproportionate repressive measures” after a failed military coup in July. There were 107 abstentions.

The Turkish prime minister, Binali Yildirim, dismissed the vote as being of no importance, but warned that ties with the EU were already strained. “We expect EU leaders to stand up against this lack of vision,” he said. “The EU should decide whether it wants to continue its future vision with or without Turkey.”

Earlier this week, the country’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, preemptively hit out at the vote, saying it had “no value at all”. Erdoğan has repeatedly said he could tear up a migration pact between Turkey and the EU if Europe fails to deliver on accession talks or visa-free travel."

What? I never said it - the Leave campaign repeatedly said it and stuck up posters all over the shop. It was the Leave campaign that originated project fear and a lot of mugs fell for it..
