That pretty much sums up why I decided to voted remain. I don't doubt that the EU are corrupt, but on a 'lesser of two evils basis', I decided the EU were a much better option than Boris f@cking Johnson.

You accusing someone else of avoiding a question is along the lines of Fred West accusing someone of burying people under their patio.

You’re looking for the current downsides of Brexit. I dunno, Northern Ireland, travel, trade, phone charges? It’s tricky I don’t really know where to begin. But maybe we’ll see the positives in 50 years as Rees Mogg said.

But Boris won't always be here, will he? The corrupt Euro-fixers and their millions of wasters will be though, none of them wanted us as a member but were happy with us as a cash cow.

    Exactly.

You won't see any "tangible Brexit dividends" for a hell of a long time though. But in the mean time I am happy to reap the benefit thank-you very much.

Confused, so you (and Swale) based your vote on someone who wasn’t Prime Minister at the time?

A bit of a blanket statement but the UK did see a 4.8% rise in GDP for Q2 (Apr-Jun). This obviously aligns with the loosening of restrictions around Covid but you could argue it is a sign that given the opportunity UK businesses still have what it takes to make the most of any or every opportunity.

I would like to think that this is also a sign that Brexit is starting to have a positive affect but that would be wrong, it's obvious any changes in the countries financial status are directly impacted by the pandemic.

Anyway, here's the latest update on GDP by the ONS . .

Not just him. To sum up what a useless bunch we have in government, if Boris hadn't replaced Theresa May it would have been the equally obnoxious Michael Gove!

... as a former net contributor into the EU black hole cesspit, I would sooner we vote for our own MP's so they spend/waste GB taxpayers money for us here. At least we can vote them out if we wish. The idea that you would let Johnny foreigner pi55 our money away is beyond normal rationale; but you just can't account for some mugs ...
